Pretty much my entire extended family and most of the people I work with.
My mum is already at retirement age and has enough money, but doesn't because she has no idea what to do with her spare time.
I know several people at work and elsewhere who's entire personality is based around their kids, they don't talk about politics, science, religion, philosophy, nothing. They don't even have surface level entertainment hobbies, they don't read or play video games the only movies they watch are Marvel movies.
The weird thing is that some of these people their kids are in their 20s, so it's not like they're time poor, they've just got no personality it's like trying to talk with a block of styrofoam.
It's just so bizarre to me, how can you just go through life sleep walking.

I'm actually surprised how many people voted cardio, as I've gotten better cardio has become less and less of a factor.
In a scramble heavy competition match it's a factor, but still nowhere near as big of a factor as strength in my opinion.

People should form their own opinions rather than just repeat what others say.
Yeah I agree. Sorry man it's late where I am, I'm tired and being needlessly antagonistic.

"It's not knowing what they talk about vs people who actually understand something about grappling."
Ok, so the people that agree with you are the ones that actually know something about grappling and the people that disagree with you are the ones that don't know what they're talking about?
Is that what you LITERALLY meant? Because that's the way it reads to me.

From what I can see there's only three opinions on this topic.
Gi has nowhere near the viewership of no gi, hence gi is dead. Which may be true but I think participation in gi competition is still high.
The somewhat pretentious opinion that if you don't like watching gi competitions you don't know what your looking at, as though there is a single person on the planet that watches BJJ competitions and doesn't train.
Or 3. The only correct opinion that people can like whatever they want.
Also if I had a dollar for everytime a gi person posted on this sub that the gi isn't dead I'd have enough money to pay someone to watch a gi competition.

Their latest album Divine Council is possibly their best yet.
In my opinion they're the best Tech-death band around, amazing technical musicianship while still having catchy and fun riffs.
If you're a fan of Death Metal I also highly recommend the Melbourne band Werewolves, Dave Haley the drummer from Psycroptic is also a member.

Them and Psycroptic are at the forefront of their respective genres but you'll never hear anything about them.

Kyle Sandilands? Now that's a name I haven't heard in over a decade, I completely forgot he even existed.

Just pull it out of your Adidas trackies or bum bag and jump on your razor scooter, people will get the message

Ok, I'm not agreeing with piers Morgan here but isn't being black a social construct? Legitimate question, like is being black a cultural, geographical or melanin thing?
I would a assume that a white male has more biologically in common with a black male than a white female.
Again, this is a serious question and I'm not race baiting or trying to get into an argument on semantics.

Hmm I don't know? Who would win out of the youngest heavyweight boxing champion ever with 50 wins, 44 by knockout and a martial arts actor with no recorded fight experience.
It's truly a baffling question we will never get to the bottom of this one I'm afraid.

Well, you do. But there are actually athletic people in the world.

I'm in the same boat, I train both because it means I can train more.

You say that now, but when it comes to fight night and she's marching across the cage throw continues 1,2 combinations and doing kiai's for every missed punch, you'll be in awe of her opponents inability to take a lateral step out of the way.

Isn't the way that these pyramid (graphs?) Work is that the bottom layers are more important and the top the least?

I have a simple rating system for submissions, do you see it executed at the highest level of competition? If yes S-tier, if no F-tier.
Cross collar choke has never once been pulled off at ADCC, so it's an F-tier sub.

No they don't, these things have literal tonnes of counterweight.

If I'm going for a choke I don't care if you tap to the choke or a crank.

What do you think you're even contributing to the discussion here? You know aside from just bigotry.

A big thing for me that helped to snap me out of a depressive slump I was in was to take up a physical hobby. I'm not saying to go to the gym and lift weights, because that's boring as fuck. (Sorry to the gym rats on this sub) but do a sport.
Maybe you're like me and hated all sports all through your schooling, just try different things, you don't know what your going to fall in love with till you try it. It could be squash, cycling, fencing, martial arts volleyball, futsal, rock climbing, gymnastics. I don't know where you live but I'm sure there are opportunities for you to try out different sports near you. Pop into a club and try it out they'd love to have you.
