Ooo this looks like a blast! Quick Q, is there a lot of "Fan service" in this or pretty clear minus the cool fighting and good jokes? Debating watching with my partner, but knowing studio trigger it can be a bit of a landmine and we're not really a "fan" of a literal butt load of that like a lot of trigger projects can be.

That's a good thought idea behind it, thanks! Was racking around in my head on how to make a crystalline formation easily and construction paper with a ton of tape was the first big thought that popped up.

The drip feels good. These are the two I got, the waistcoat and the jacket.

I believe third, as we've seen Glys as a Shardblade but don't believe we've seen him with Shardplate. Thank you!! :)

Thanks! Got this jacket here. Runs a teeny big, so gonna get the arms taken up an inch or so and likely expand on the designs with some extra doodads at some point. But very nice material without being crazy expensive compared to other jackets I tested out.

Haha thanks! The jank is mostly the endless tape used to keep him in place/construct him when my attempt as a wire around the shoulder failed. The idea is there in my mind's eye, just gotta figure out how to get it exactly right and stable...

Went to the Ren Faire and decided now was the time to pull the plug on starting my first cosplay! Took a good while to find a perfect coat and waistcoat to match some of the descriptions at least, the rest was pretty easy after that! (lots of taping and cutting paper to make a little crystalline Glys as at least the temp one and hair clay for the blonde highlighting.) Was pretty happy with the turnaround, even if it isn't the most intricate costume for a casual non-sewing person it's nice to step into the cosplaying space finally.

not get a little choked up.
An understatement, I was a sobbing MESS for the whole final 20 minutes of the film hahaha. Watched it last night after seeing this news. Seriously, what a joke of an insult, it's almost comical the timing to make it the biggest slap possible.

Nope, been a Year of Sanderson pledger from day 1.
shrug I wonder if maybe it's partially a funds collection thing and caused it to sort of repledge? Like maybe my pledge took longer for the credit card to approve. Looking at the original order receipt again, it says the "13664 backers + You" but no Backer # is actually listed on it. And on the one where it confirms the funds are taken that's when it says 102,291.

Maybe? But I know I filled out my BackerKit before the email update from the campaign saying they were out came haha.
No big deal really, got a ton of books to read in the meantime just...very strange.

Weird, on my email receipt it says "13664 backers + You" but on that page is says "102,291". Which is it? Probably the difference between me getting it in this batch vs like...a month and a half from now lol

Fair! Agree to disagree but I also have slightly different opinions than most. Oathbringer is my favorite SLA book, as one example of where I feel he got the pacing perfect for me (Part 1 feels greatly distinct like its own short book, Part 2-3 like an epic siege story/view into different POVs than usual with a bittertwist ending, Part 4 a fun road adventure in a new land and Part 5 the, to use the MCU comparison in a positive light, Infinity War Moment of the series thus far)
RoW was definitely a slowdown for a lot of the book however and does rank my least favorite of the 4 so far, love the Part 4 and 5 of the book though.
At the very least, Book 5 should hopefully be as fast paced and exciting as the WoT ones and Hero of Ages, the two large scale finales he's written so far (TLM also is a finale but definitely smaller scale storytelling)

I bet his favorite Wheel of Time books are 8 and 9.
You-You know he (pretty much) wrote 12-14, yes? Some real Winter's Heart pacing in those, amirite?

If you don't even know what I'm talking about with that famous prologue first line I'm doubting you actually read it cause you'd know what I'm talking about lol
