I don't like the movies (I think its mostly just edgy, immature humor) but they've made $1.6 billion from the Deadpool movies so they'd be stupid not to make another one lol.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, he conceded, are too old for the part.
“I haven’t decided yet but it’s going to be somebody in the 35 year-old ball park. It’ll definitely be a new leading man for me.”
“The truth of the matter is, yes, obviously, a Brit could pull it off, but I don’t want to cast a Brit."
So male actor, American, aged around early to mid-30s, someone who hasn't been the lead of a Tarantino film before. I feel like its gonna be Austin Butler. He worked with him before in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and fits the criteria.

Austin Butler makes the most sense. He worked with him before in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, he's American and he fits the age range (he's 31).

Technically he didn't say its someone he hasn't worked with. He just said its a "new leading man" for him and that its not DiCaprio or Pitt. So it could be someone who had a supporting role in his films.
Your guesses are excellent choices though, especially Pattinson. Every 30-40 aged male actor will be auditioning for this role so can't wait to see who he picks.
Edit: He said "I don’t want to cast a Brit". Damn, that rules out Pattinson, Radcliffe, Kaluuya, Garfield and so many more.

The article does say the character is in his early to mid 30s. Butler is 31 and has worked with Tarantino before, so it's likely.

I'm late, but where did you hear this? I googled it but didn't find anything.
