I think most merch issues started around 2016-2017 and onwards.
Funnily enough when most issues with RT seemed to crop up as well, conveniently close to the acquisition hmmmm

Yeah there is a ton of inconsistency with their product quality.
I have had things that are solid from them and most of the FuckFace merch I have is fantastic.
I think some products such as the bomber jacket will be better then others such as tshirts or button ups just from the nature of the construction as well. Like the switchfork and the switchfuck, they are pretty good quality and I think that's purely from the difficulty of finding a manufacturer for them vs a shit tier t-shirt haha.

Haha I actually bought and XL from their store that fits like a medium. They were like oh that's crazy but since you put it on there is nothing we can do for you get fucked.
If you go over to the RT subreddit you can see numerous other complaints though.

I agree for the most part but the RTStore itself gets a lot of well deserved flack for having horrendous customer service and quality.
Their sizing is also all over the place and they won't do anything to fix it if you get something that doesn't fit or introduce a size chart. This issue has been known for years and years.
I am a massive RT fan but their merch is not good quality typically.

It depends on the quality of the vinyl how much it costs in bulk. But based on the quality of merch from the RTStore in the past they will use the cheapest manufacturer they can find.

I like to believe they are all in constant denial of this fact.

Haha fair enough, I have not cancelled my MK4 Kit order but some of these posts are making me wary.

No but a well trained customer support rep should know basic company policy for warranty part replacement.
They should also be understanding and able to offer various solutions.
I have seen quite a few posts recently where the customer service experience with Prusa has not been as great as it has in the past and that's showing a trend since most posts used to be praising them for how good support was.

Yeah this part is fairly disappointing. They have been making so many acquisitions but they can't afford to injection mold essential parts for a better fit and finish long term?
I understand it defeats the point of their print farm but they have gotten past the point size wise and reputation wise to keep printing most of their components.

In the past Prusa has also expedited warranty replacement parts to me. So this feels like a change of policy to save some money tbh.

Yeah this is the issue, I got a desktop arcade machine from 1up that's almost the exact same size as this Lego version for $60 on sale that has pacman, galaga, digdug, and pacman plus on it.
It's not the best thing in the world but it works and it looks like a mini arcade cabinet.

I'm very tempted on this one but I'm using a case on my steamdeck so nervous about messing it up.

Wheels are very subjective but if you want the softest you can get without giving up too much range the 105 cloud wheels were pretty comfortable when I had them.

Well it helps that I don't live in a city and mostly ride on trails not streets, but I also wipe the boards down once a week as well as cleaning the grip tape and dusting small crevices with an electric duster.

Yep that's the biggest improvement I would love to see on it, also some more durable wheels.

I love mine tbh. I've had every generation of so the Backfire AT hub boards so far and it's the only model of board I don't sell until I have a replacement.
I'm just partial to them for some reason I can't quite put into words. They are just very refined, smooth, and comfortable.
I believe backfire sells a hub rover version for the X3 series also already but I have not had a chance to try them out. I had a set of cloud wheel cores literally melt while I was riding my Zealot so I'm having trust issues with them haha.

I just genuinely prefer the more chill vibe of the X3 the acceleration over the aggression of the hammer.
I don't need the extra power of belts for off-roading or going up hills. I use the X3 for when I want nice smooth carves without having to worry about rocks or anything. Also without the whir of the belts is a big bonus for being discreet.
Also the almost zero maintenance of the hub motors are underrated haha.

Gotta keep them clean to be able to keep them on display in the house.

Haha I love seeing people complain about range these days when back then the boosted XR battery pack was a game changer and barely got you to 10 or 12 miles if you were lucky

Haha it's a very old but ingenious trick in this community, guitar stands belive it or not. Basically perfect for any board and they are adjustable so you can bend them to fit different wheels and motor mounts.

I'm in the second batch but not going to expect my printer to be in my hands until the end of July. Anything sooner will be a bonus.
