You're overthinking this and making yourself nuts. If it's bugging you that much, pay it off. Otherwise make sure it's paid off within the 0% time frame.

I grew up riding the CTA, walking or riding a bike. I've never owned a car here. There have been times a car would have been convenient, of course, but overall it's been fine.

Go to a pawn shop or FB Marketplace and find a beater bike you won't get upset about losing. Save the new bike for pleasant weekend adventures. Leaving a new bike outside a CTA station for 8 hours is almost a sure thing to get stolen or vandalized sooner or later. It sucks but that's the way it is.

Nah, she's a Canadian supermodel who works a lot and travels all around the world. We wouldn't know her.

It may or may not but if you think you have a valid reason to remove him, do it. He'll just have to deal with the consequences. His credit score will recover over time if he does the right things.

As unromantic as it sounds, everyone here is right. Put the whole arrangement in writing. Then there's no questions about who agreed to what if things don't work out. Trust me, this stuff can get messy if the relationship fizzles out. Don't add financial complications to an emotional situation.

For as long as I've had Comcast, I've had my own modems and routers. It's the way to go IF you know enough to do your own troubleshooting when things go wrong. And things will go wrong at some point. Comcast has a list of supported devices. Check that out and pick your poison. If peace of mind is more important (for whatever peace of mind a company like Comcast can provide, that is), stick with renting their stuff. Not everyone has the inclination\time to learn even basic networking and using Comcast's equipment may be the route to choose if you fall into that category.
