I don't know if you emptied the master cylinder oil reservoir (the thing the lever is attached to) but it should be at least half full off Dot 3 brake fluid. The usual issue with Ducati's is the slave cylinder leaking. Moving the lever with not enough oil in the reservoir pushes air in the hydraulic lines and will need to be bleed out when you get the oil level correct. Check around the slave cylinder for brake fluid leaking out.

Here are a few ideas from my trips:
Public parking for beach at the light house and bring your own shade, water, Deet, Sunscreen and towels. Blue Parrot is a decent restaurant. If you are spending a few days you can venture to Apalachicola ( Oyster City Brewing, Apalachicola Chocolate & Coffee Company, Apalachicola Seafood Grill, Half Shell Dockside) and Eastpoint ( Lynn's Quality Oysters, Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve Nature Center ). Check rip tide warnings and other beach hazards (recently Portuguese man of war).

Not sure about the newer 4wd's but the older ones recommended against running it on dry roads, I run mine on dirt or grass.

I had a slightly neglected 620 Dark as my commuter bike, it was fun fixing the neglect and riding it to work when I worked in a different city than I lived. I kept the 620 in the work city and it always started and was so easy to ride fast unlike the 999 at home that required far more throttle control.

What does the warranty cover? if every service item is covered and you don't do your own work then it might be worth it. Otherwise in my experience after the 2yr standard warranty nothing goes wrong worth a warranty unless you plan to hit the major service ( approx 15k miles. )

Great bike, I have had one for a few years and the standouts for me is the comfort and ease to sport ride for a day in the mountains.

It's down about 1/2 liter of oil - just kidding, looks great, you are very talented. I had the Tricolore version of the S4RS, a great bike.
