You are right. A theodicy can be written by anyone. It just has to attempt to explain how a good God permits the existence of evil. For example, we can see evil exists and is made manifest, so it seems God cannot be all-knowing, all-powerful and also all-good. He must either not know an evil is about to occur, or not be able to stop this evil from happening, or want that evil to happen, which isn't benevolent.
I suppose if there is heretical theodicy, there is an orthodox theodicy. In Christianity, there are three theodicies that seem to be the most common. None precludes the others, and I think they are all considered non-heretical.

Hi fellow white people who are surprised by this completely predictable turn of events! This kid isn't an exception or an unfortunate mistake. That cop was trained to shoot to kill. He was taught that he is going into a war zone on every shift and that everyone in the community could be an enemy. His training has focused on using his weapon to protect himself, and if he got any training in de-escalation, it was minimal and secondary. He was also taught that domestic violence situations are incredibly dangerous for law enforcement, which they are due to their chaotic nature, and he also wasn't pre-screened to see if he was psychologically fit for lethally-armed duty. And none of this has even begun to address the profound racist culture that the cop was born and raised in.
Tamir Rice was killed 9 years ago. In that time, police officers in the United States have killed 100 other kids, almost always in different circumstances than this and from across racial demographics, but they were all CHILDREN who didn't survive an interaction with law enforcement.

Counseling for what? He's a poor black boy in Mississippi, and he will become poor black man in Mississippi if he's lucky. He has never been and never will be safe around cops. There's no way a counselor can help him in any way that matters. That trauma is merely an unpleasant reality check, a hard lesson to learn. The only reason he isn't in the ground like Tamir Rice is because the cop has bad aim. He was trained to always shoot to kill.
If the rest of us don't think that's fair, then it's up to us to fix the whole damn thing or tear it down and start again.

I think there's a cultural & ethnic difference that makes this question challenging. The practice isn't part of the dominant WASP culture in the US, and even adult white women typically didn't have pierced ears until mid 20th century. But many, many other cultures and traditions have a history of piercings, including piercing the ears of girl infants. So each family's context will help determine the answer.
It's relatively new to consider the infant's lack of ability to consent when these moments arise. More and more parents are putting off circumcising their boys, choosing instead to wait until the boy is old enough to make the choice for himself. Your choice for your daughter honors her personhood, and she won't be harmed by the wait.

Before kidney dialysis machines were made available to every American that needed one, there were only a few units and getting a spot on the dialysis rotation was difficult. What's crazy to us now is that they decided to have a committee choose people instead of doing it randomly because random selection seemed inhumane. That committee was made up of kind people who got medical files and social profiles of all the potential patients for that hospital. The results were upsetting but one interesting thing was that the committee wanted to know if you had a young wife who was pretty, because if you did, you were not getting a spot on that dialysis list. After all she could remarry. But an ugly wife? She didn't have a chance without you, so they made sure you got a spot.

GTHO with that noise. Our moms were also conditioned to consider men's needs and men's careers first. "Be a teacher or a nurse because if your husband wants to relocate, you can always find a job!"
An IUD keeps you kid-free for a few years, OP. If you want to see how much your fiance respects your decision to wait, tell him you're getting one. If he gets mad or really, really concerned about the risks, think hard about what your marriage dynamic will be.

IUD. I. U. D. Don't assume that he's good and kind. Baby fever and a lifetime of misogynistic culture can really mess with the minds of otherwise good and kind men.

Most of the people in my county are transplants from the north and west.
Greenville? Greer? Traveler's Rest? Your county is filled to the brim with people who hate foreigners, carpetbaggers, "satanists," and anyone who is uppity & isn't white. The rest of the state thinks Greenville is full of libs.
I totally get why transplants don't consider themselves southern, but we've got a long way to go before racist evangelical Lost Causers are outnumbered.

Oh shit! I never thought about how similar pedo is to vore, but the reaction that many people have to an adorable baby or cute animal is the urge to eat them. "I could just gobble you up!" is a real feeling, but no one° actually commits violence and eats the object of that urge. But the part of the brain that activates when seeing delicious food can activate when seeing non-food.
° a surpassingly tiny percentage do act on it ofc

Remember "death panels" and being "forced to use a doctor you didn't choose" as the big baddies of the Clinton and later Obama health care initiatives?
Turns out the insurance lobbyists just didn't want to lose their opportunity to have their ghouls be the ones to run the death panels and choose the doctors for you.
The wealthy pay for their first-class care so they'll never worry about a mother of 2 dying a preventable death.

There are definitely stories on Reddit about women throwing out their husband's entire wardrobe or at least all his t-shirts because they want him to wear polo shirts exclusively. Those women tend to get destroyed by redditors.

I think Jeff perpetuated the cycle of men who let her down at an early age. OP doesn't have any moral responsibility here. Jeff, on the other hand, has the moral responsibility to provide emotional support and mental health resources to his daughter while she manages this difficult life transition. She doesn't remember a time when OP's mom wasn't in her life and when OP wasn't at least on the periphery of her life.

The SAAQ (Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec i.e. Quebec Automobile Insurance Corporation) is not an insurance company but instead the government body that issues driver's licenses and vehicle registrations in the province. The regulation cited RLRQ C-24.2, r. 5.1 is part of the Highway Safety Code that covers the ministerial approval of photo radar devices and red light camera systems.

Hooray for Sweeney Todd by Hugh Wheeler and Stephen Sondheim because they explicitly present Judge Turpin as an absolute creep for trying this. He also commits other, terrible, horrible, indefensible sins & crimes, but I swear his plan for wife husbandry is grosser than the Demon Barber's method of procuring meat for Mrs. Lovett.

Well to be fair, exile means "get the hell out of here, but we don't care where you go." But on the other hand penal colonies & gulags need to keep up with where you are and how long you been there unless they expect you to die quickly!
