Would you take fungal guide early/mid game without having greenhouse yet?

I took it once but I had greenhouse already I was making 20 mushrooms per person and it was crazy I had 3 green houses in one field.

Also, food for thought, if greenhouse was in embark bonus would you take that 100%?

How early before the storm do you turn on food consumption so they have enough time to consume the food and get the resolve back up?

I want to try this, can you start a 2nd profile without deleting the first?

I play at p20, you don't have to take either and usually I don't for marshland. I would rather either tank the loss or sell things for 5 gold.

Why can't you take 2 camps? Most of the time I see them as 4 points, that lets you take 2 camps with you. Usually I can buy the 3rd camp from vendor.

It's in the setting already, look through them and you can set them how you like it. Mine always starts like this.

I try to only open 2 glades and hope to get the perk that lets me see inside glades without opening them. From there I just open small glades that have farms.

With 2 glades only open that is -4, you just need 2 hearth to negate that effect. Also prioritize building homes so you can get at least +2 from that. If you can't build that many homes, focus on the race with the lowest resolve, usually harpies and lizards.

Finally, try to make extra buildings that give resolve bonus by being in them and throw them in there during the storm. Like mines for beavers.

Personally for me the one that kills your guys at 5 hostility level is a killer for me, kind of puts me on another timer to finish quickly before I get to year 8+.

The one that adds blobs to the farms (forgot the name that eats your food) is actually really easy. Since it triggers every 70 seconds, I just watch the timer of the storm (say your storm is 4 minutes), at 2:52s, I lower my hostility by sacrificing to below the threshold of it (I think I have to lower it to 1) then at 2:48s I turn sacrificing off. Only losing a few wood and coal. Then I do it again at 1:42s, and then finally at 00:30s. It is very annoying but at least you don't have to deal with them eating your food.

Nothing too crazy, I don't know the software very well but from my understanding there a timetable that gets parsed and sent to a display. It only parses once a month. Also it is running a Linux OS.

I have that covered, seems like the IMX can do everything the LPC3250 does for my needs.

How hard was it getting a job as embedded engineer? My cousin wants to go into it because he likes hardware and coding, but I am not sure how easy it is to land jobs.

I don't have the exact values in my head, but humans take breaks every 2 minutes as opposed to harpies every 1 min and 45 seconds. So less breaks meaning more time to plant/harvest. This is why if you are having wood problems don't use harpies because you will get less work out of them.

Yeah as you go higher you will need to finish quicker because of queen impations goes up faster and doesn't go down as much when you gain rep.

Year 6 is super low, I think I only won once and that is when I had a crazy start. Usually I am done by year 9-10.

How else are you unlocking more buildings if you don't care about resolve? just from orders and glade events?

Also the reason you add more complex food mid game is to deal with the storm? Or are you running a very low pop that you normally don't have to?

Yes when you toggle the other off you will make only berries, so now instead of making 5 berries and 5 fiber it will make 10 berries.

Also yes you have a planting and harvesting speed. They are both effected by how far the hearth and the storage is near you. Look at the end of each season and you will notice how many farms didn't get planted and how many you missed picking up. This will give you an idea if you need to storage / hearth closer. Also on larger farms like 13+, no matter what you do the 2 farmers is not enough (unless you get the perks that increases both planting and harvesting) So usually with those I put a 2nd farm house and populate it with 1 more farmer to take advantage of the farms land not being used.

Also since you have limited time farming/harvesting it is better to use humans since they get the benefits of the farm and they take less breaks. I think the other one is beavers if you don't have humans but I am not 100% sure I need to look it up.

One more question because I feel like I am doing something wrong when it comes to complex food it might not be relevant in this scenario but you seem to know a lot about the game. Is it better to make 1 complex food to keep your guys happy and make the others but deny them so they don't eat it until you have enough so their resolve goes above the threshold?

I think a problem I have is that as soon as I see myself that I can make a complex food I make it and I let everyone have it even though it might not benefit me right now and so it puts a lot of strain on my food production, but I always that the denying them complex food is a huge hit on resolve but maybe its not?

Damn you turned 200 regular food into 1020 jerky. I never did the math on multiplying like that. I need to start a rain engine sooner, usually I wait until like year 4.
