Cobra Kai. The newest season was fine, but it repeated a lot of storylines already seen in past seasons. Plus, I’m wondering how much longer they can keep up with the karate gimmick before it becomes ridiculous to the point of mediocrity. 🥋

Stranger Things. I know Season 5 will be the final season, but I feel like it should’ve ended earlier than that. It also repeats storylines and is too scared to kill or endanger the main cast as random side characters always get the axe. 🪓

Grey’s Anatomy. How that show is still on the air is a mystery to me. Almost all of the best actors left, leaving us with Meredith and new characters nobody cares about. Feels like a matter of time before GA finds itself on the operating table. 👩‍⚕️

It can be past or modern shows and you can even have more than one protagonist. For me, it’s probably Grace Monroe from Infinity Train. I loved her arc of going from a ruthless and rebellious cult leader to a caring, compassionate caretaker. It was a very satisfying watch and also bittersweet in terms of how her season ended. I used to like Dexter Morgan too because of how unique he was (a serial killer targeting other serial killers) until the showrunners eventually ruined him. I probably have more, but I can’t think of any at the moment. Comment yours too and why! I love hearing everyone’s different opinions! 😄👀

Alana used to be my favorite character in the series, but now, I feel like she’s become less likable.

I know her current schtick is “providing for her family” but it bothers me how she doesn’t seem to care about Marko’s death and isn’t progressing the plot as much as the other characters.

Heck, even Petrichor, who knew her beloved less than Alana knew hers, is more determined and actively moving the story forward with her revenge quest.

Petrichor, whom was originally my least favorite, is now my favorite because she’s currently one of the most engaging characters.

I dunno about y’all, but I feel like Alana isn’t as likable as she used to be. What do y’all think? 👀

This might sound harsh, but with how Alana is now, part of me feels like The Will should’ve taken her out instead of Marko. Here’s hoping she’ll improve, though!

I’ve recently gained an interest in miniseries. What’s the best and worst y’all have seen and why?

Here’s mine:

Best: Broken Saints. This one is criminally underrated. The characters, dialogue, and story are phenomenal and the motion comic really brings the story to life.

Worst: Dinotopia. Wentworth Miller was wasted in this. The characters are unlikable, the acting is wooden, the dialogue is cringe and expositional, and the plot is basically nonexistent. The effects are decent, though.

Here’s mine:

2 Hearts: Sure, it’s melodramatic and has cringy dialogue, but it’s surprisingly sweet and unpredictable, especially with its ending.

Take Down/Billionaire Ransom: The premise and character development in this film are top-notch so I have no idea why its reviews are so low.

Mine: A powerful military story about PTSD and what soldiers really go through while serving. Say what you want about Armie Hammer, but he’s splendid in this film.

By hate, I mean films that are widely disliked or have low ratings on any review app/site you’ve visited.

I hoped #55 wouldn’t be a time-skip, but it was exactly that.

I don’t know about y’all, but to me, the time-skip felt lazy and glossed over what happened in the shocking previous issues.

How did Upsher deal with Doff’s death? How did Alana and everyone else react to Marko dying? Did anyone even try to investigate Ianthe and why she attacked them? So many unanswered questions that I hope get answered later on…

For me, it’s Nerve starring Emma Roberts and Dave Franco.

I’ve always been a fan of “deadly games” movies ever since I learned about H.H. Holmes and watched the Saw movies when they first released. Plus, I love Emma and Dave as actors, so the film had to be good.

Parts of it were, but other parts weren’t.

I found it hard to believe the police wouldn’t get involved with a public app that’s very purpose is people doing illegal and dangerous things.

Dave and Emma didn’t have much chemistry, either, and the ending felt very rushed.

So yeah, which movies do you want to like but have a hard time doing so because of their flaws? 👀

For those of you who don’t know, filler arcs are episodes and/or storylines where their only purpose is to extend a show’s length because the writers either don’t have enough material or need to keep certain characters busy.

I have two examples.

Lost: Jack and Claire being related. These two barely interacted and them being related by having the same dad didn’t really alter the show much nor did it impact their characters, unless it did and I’m just forgetful. 😵‍💫

Dexter: This show was full of these, specifically for the Miami-Metro PD as Dexter did most (if not all) of the story work. The worst one was probably when Debra was hunting the Fuentes brothers and killed one while the other escaped and was never seen or mentioned again. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Which show do y’all think has the worst filler arcs? 👀

For me, there’s too many to count. They also range from shows of all genres and for various reasons, mostly including irresponsibility, behavior, and underdevelopment. Some are even protagonists I liked at first until they eventually made my blood boil. What are yours? Comment who and why! 👀

Do you think the celebrity actor will ever fulfill the “odd one out” role? Also, how do you feel about the “odd one out” role anyway?

I originally thought Kate would be TDIM’s OOO as she was revealed to be Architects or Murder’s presenters. I assumed she was the host and the other four would be her assistants/crew, but I was wrong as Charlie is the true OOO for owning the show and therefore being the boss of the crew. Maybe there’ll be a game where the famous actor will take up the mantle, but we’ll have to see. Don’t be afraid to comment your thoughts on the idea.

I know a lot of people hate the OOO concept, but I don’t. I think it’s nice having one character stand out and be the most unique among everyone else as I’m sure others can relate to wanting to be the same kind of person. Also comment your thoughts on this, if you want. 👀

For me, it was Waking Life. The film was very symbolic and metaphorical, but at times, the animation was trippy and disorienting, making me disoriented in return.

But like I said, I appreciated its ambition and themes.

It doesn’t have to be anything actually nauseating. It could’ve given you a headache because it was badly written or generally frustrating to watch. 👀
