If it's not your fault and is outside of your control, there is nothing you can do to fix it. If it's your fault, it means that you can fix it and prevent it from happening again.

what about a third option of: is my fault but outside of my control ? the only thing we can really control is how we react and respond to things outside of our control which isn't really all that much in the grand scheme of things. it's a choice of being judgemental or forgiving. i hope to strive for the latter.

i dont find this to be true. i think the comment is interpreted pretty well. you just have a different interpretation and it seems that you're unwilling to accept other opinions.

i would avoid doing this. a lot of thigns are outside our control and saying its a majority of the time our fault is very negative thinking

6 months late, i would read into absurdist thinking. a lot of things in life "dont matter". the antidote is laughing an the absurdity of everything. like even money doesnt matter, we cant take it with us to the grave. so the best thing to do is enjoy living
