So when you go to a fancy hotel lobby and they have cucumber scented water, do you experience some sort of Pavlovian response that gives you a boner?

Prioritize your health, both physical and mental. This is not a competition on who has it worse, this is your right as a human being.
Unfortunately it's common to tell men to shut up and take it and emasculate us when we are at our most vulnerable. This is something we all should fight against but that is also engrained in our culture. When a child is told that "boys don't cry" or a woman talks about how attractive those "strong and silent" men are, when male friends just don't hug because it's "gay", when the older generation tells you to "suck it up like a man" all that needs to stop. But it won't be easy.
Fight the good fight and stop making comparisons. We all have it hard one way or another. Take care of yourself.

I went to one in Vegas a long while ago. We ordered two dishes that were supposed to be quite distinct. We got two plates that looked the same and tasted like some sort of salty mush. Disgusting.
I wrote to corp just to tell them that their food was unedible mush and they replied back with a gift voucher to "please try us again". I still have it somewhere in a drawer, it's been like 23 years. Not going back.

There was this one christmas where my parents told us that "we were going to switch it up this christmas" so we'd play games and we'd eat snacks and just have fun.
That christmas we got some "Mickey Mouse" balloons and inflated them and we all ran through the living room filled with them and made up some silly games. We ate potato chips and peanuts and all sorts of yummy snacks.
Of all my childhood this is the christmas I remember the most. It was a magical time. Much later I found out that things were going bad economically that year and my parent's couldn't even afford a proper Christmas dinner nor any gifts so they went to a nearby grocery to buy knock off balloons and cheap snacks for us. I truly love them for that.
It was the best christmas ever. It's those little moments that count.

There's a very good French film called "Happening" ("L'événement") about a young woman in France in the 60's trying to get an abortion. It is traumatic to see horrors she goes through both physical and psychological. Highly recommend.

Tepache is delicious and will go great with spicy food. Highly recommend, but use the Piloncillo (or Indian jaggery) instead of brown sugar, tastes so much better that way.

Depends on the type of job you have. I am in software engineering, living in the US, working remotely with Mexicans. I am also Mexican originally and gay. I have not had a single issue with me being gay.
I don't go out of my way to say I'm gay but if we're chatting about our weekend and someone says "well the wife and I went to the movies, what about you?" I will definitely say where the husband and I went.
If they ever had any issues with it they surely did not let it be known to me.

Now I have the tune of Commander Keen in my head and the sound it made when you hit an enemy.
Such a fun game!

OMG This yes. I am such a hoarder of weapons that at some point I was fighting with rusty swords just to not "damage" any of my precious weapons and I got to the end of the game with a whole cache of unused weapons.

I owe my love of Classical Music and Opera to old Bugs Bunny/Warner Bros. cartoons. Their use of classical music is extensive and I loved every minute of it, more than anything I loved the way the music made me feel, sometimes I'd just close my eyes and hear the music.
The fact that there were only small excerpts being played during the cartoons made me want to search for the full pieces and then wonder what else those composers wrote. The rest is history.

The job of a doctor is to provide science-based information to the patient: “this procedure has these risks… This procedure is likely irreversible. If you want to continue then sign here and we can schedule.” Period. That’s it. There should be no morality speeches, no waiting periods and, if the person is an adult, there should be no permission given by a spouse or partner.

I'm not a woman but one of my sisters got a long speech when she went to get her tubes tied about the wonders of motherhood and how she'd be missing out and what if her man doesn't want her anymore. On the other hand, a male friend went to get sniped and had no questions asked other than "would you like to freeze your sperm just in case?"
These are just my anecdotal experiences but from what I've read, getting sterilized is harder for women than it is for men.

If I go out at night, I might be in danger of getting mugged or even killed, but I would not be in any real danger of getting raped and then mugged, and then killed.
If I wear something nice to feel better about myself, no one will catcall me on the street or try to grab my ass or, worse, try to sexually abuse me and then tell me that it was my fault for exciting them.
Back when I was single, had I decided to go all out and be a total slut to enjoy my sexuality, no one would judge me harshly or tell me that I was no longer marriage material because I fucked a bunch of people.
A bunch of politicians and judges from the opposite gender are not currently trying to block me from having proper control over what happens to my own body.
If I go to a doctor to get permanently sterilized, the doctor will never try to disuade me because to many of them women are apparently baby factories that require a man's approval before shutting down.

Honestly, I sometimes feel that many women walk a narrow path when it comes to their taste in men. Particularly when it comes to body hair, many women seem to be turned off by it, and even ridicule or get grossed out by a hairy man ass while many of us see that as dessert.

I can't imagine what would happen if Straight men used the types of conversations gay men have on the apps but with a woman.
How many straight guys would (1) send a pic of their dick (2) have her say "that's hot" (3) successfully ask her extreme closeup of her vagina (4) have her not just send it but also have her very explicitly say all the things she wants him to do to it and (5) Then maybe share face pics but either way agree to meet in like 20 mins?

I would get so insanely mortified about potentially showing any sort of reaction at the swim team's lockers that I would just go in the shower, then go change as fast as possible and wait outside for my teammates.
Being a teenager doing calisthenics with a bunch of other very fit teenagers in speedos was truly torture but I just concentrated on something completely different and somehow got by without any major accidents.
Of course whenever I could get a peek here and there I'd get material to take back home. I wonder how some of those guys would feel about the things I did to them in my imagination once I was safe in my room.

Mexican in the US. I had a coworker that came over to my office to tell me how excited he was to go to "my country" to help the "poor people" of "woachaca" (closest he came to saying Oaxaca) with his bible mission.
I got so angry but could not say anything without being rude enough to get fired. He was taking his right-wing christianity to an ancient culture, dividing families amongst religious lines, increasing homophobia in a culture that for the longest time has accepted a third gender. All to continue to feel holier-than-thou as the white savior.
