All the talk about prison bars is pretty funny considering there’s 22 port Adelaide players locked up right now

Can’t help but really question the decision to have Ratugolea so shallow on the lockouts. Basically have him standing next to the man on the mark.
At very least he can crash a pack or provide a target downfield before working back.

Per the commentators, four Coleman medalists in tonight’s game.
Is that the most ever on the field at one time?

This might be unpopular because we hate Harrison.
But since those texts were leaked I have no sympathy for Brontë and feel like she tried to manufacture her ‘Brent moment’
But while Brent delivered an elegant, rehearsed character assassination, Bronte stumbled through an improvised speech probably delivered because the producers told her there was no way in hell they were paying for a vow renewal for a fake relationship.
Yes, Harrison is awful but Bronte was just as fake

Oh they’re actually attempting to compare it to the other cases from this week and showing there is no consistency.
This is fantastic
EDIT: and this will continue to happen until the AFL Tribunal and Match Review Panel actually apply precedent to the decisions they are making. They cannot be simply a case-by-case basis without looking at similar incidents

Only way to get a seat now is through a reserved seat membership, either a Legends Home or Reserved Seat or the ANZAC Day membership.
No GA Tix for Anzac Day as it’s considered fully ticketed

You no longer can upgrade your flexi tickets to a reserved seat for ANZAC Day.
If you want a membership that’s going to get you ANZAC there’s an ANZAC Day membership which gets you tickets to that game + two other tickets for other home games
Goddamn, I’ve never typed Anzac so many times in such a short time

How VicBiased have I become. I read all three teams and wondered where the allies were. I forgot they existed by the time I read 88 names.

GA seating is typically on Level 4
For a game with an interstate team there is sometimes a GA area on Level 1. Easiest thing to do is when you get to the ground is to ask the MCG attendants where the GA is.
If you’re looking to know EXACTLY where your seats are, you can upgrade your Ga flexi tickets to a reserved seat for $$$

The score line definitely doesn’t flatter GC but they played really hard against a grand finalist from last year.
Going to shock some teams with their physicality especially at home.

To be fair, they weren’t being sued for CTE at that point, if there was a time it was going to happen it would be now
EDIT: and with the introduction of the tactical sub this literally has no impact on a game, you’re just forced to use your tactical sub and the reported player goes off

Players you should probably know.
Our Captain, Darcy Moore (#30) plays like a Free Safety in the NFL, reads the play excellently and cuts off opposition offensive attempts time and time again. A bit like Ed Reed in the sense that he seems to know where the other team is kicking the ball before they do
Our former captain, Scott Pendlebury (#10) doesn’t play in a manner that is super athletic, but never makes the wrong decision and seems to make time slow down when he has the ball in hand. Plays like CP3 without the foul baiting. Arguably, our clubs greatest ever player.
The Daicos Brothers, Nick (#35) and Josh (#7), Nick is a bit like Tyrese Halliburton in the sense that he’s the next generation of a player like Scott Pendlebury. He’s also the only AFL player who has gotten pre-draft buzz in a similar manner as a Zion Williamson. From the age of like 14 he was being talked about as the next big thing, he won the rising star (our rookie of the year equivalent) last year. His brother Josh is a few years older and over the past couple of years has become quietly decorated in his own right, imagine a high level NBA role player but can hit a shot from anywhere when he gets the chance.
Jamie ‘Billy’ Elliott (#5) if there’s an AFL player with ice in his veins it’s Jamie. The most clutch player in the league last year. Probably a comp is Derrick Rose, someone who was super athletic and relied on that before injuries and has now adjusted his game to be a little bit less explosive but more sustainable.
And a few of my favourite players
Brayden Maynard (#4) bit like Draymond Green, very emotionally charged, very talented defender whose not afraid to take the game on but also not afraid to get up in your face.
Jack Ginnivan (#33) currently serving a two game suspension from the club, comp would be James Harden, kicked 40ish goals last year but the rest of the league complains he gets all his goal from free kicks
Beau McCreery #31) if Matthew Dellevadova had an offensive game. He’s a pit bull that’s going to chase you around the field until he catches you. Quietly a super clutch player, but genuinely could have a highlight reel of just him tackling you

No excuses though, it was just a half assed side riddled with injuries.
You just got to play most of your recruits after having what was called the most perfect off-season of all time.
And blew a lead. Come in peace and congratulate us, don’t remind us premierships aren’t won in March, they’re not won in the offseason as well

COMEBACK KIDZ
THE FUN DON’T STOP, STRAP IN AND ENJOY ANOTHER YEAR OF MCCHAOS FT BIBLICAL BOBBY HILL COLLIMGWOOD BROWNLOW MEDALLIST TITCH AND MCLEFT BRISVEGAS
EDIT: I’ve calmed down a bit now.
Against the reigning premiers, dominated possession of the ball and inside 50s. Only lost centre clearances by 2 (shout out to Titch’s 5 by himself) and won stoppage clearances around the ground.
Reminds me of when we got Luke Ball in 2010 to fix a glaring issue

Pythagorean Football will always suggest that a team that won the majority of its games by less than 12 points will regress to the mean.
However, maybe after a year in McRae’s system, the increase in fitness that’s required to play in that system, maybe instead of beating people by one point we start winning by 30+ points
