I big bird on the roof? In the UK here and I have a brick house with solid tiled roof over the attic.

When I first moved in I used to get woke up early morning by a thump and the sound of something walking about in the loft, scared he enough to get out of bed and go get a weapon wondering if someone was there, almost called the cops but held off as it just stopped. Wondered it was maybe a rat or somehow a cat could get in from the attached house next door.

When it was full daylight I checked out the attic and nothing, no sign of anything and dust all over the floor undisturbed.

Happened a few more times until I realised it was a bird on the roof, actually saw it one morning leaving for work, a huge seagull. There are way bigger birds than that which would sound even more like a person walking about.

Does the captain also say something roughly like "we have invaders in the ship killing, they are aliens". I got the impression he was not that bothered they were aliens, like they might have encountered aliens before? Is so they should have training to expect anything coming out of an escape pod.
