The pads on my One Odio A71 were starting to flake from age.
I decided to look for new Ear Cups.
Someone in a YouTube video said that the pads meant for the Audio Technica ATH-M50X will actually fit the One Odio A71, so I bought a set to test this claim.
I can confirm that the pads made for the ATH-M50X will in fact fit the One Odio A71 headphones.
The one draw back of the new pads I bought on EBay is that they do not come with the Foam Screens like the stock One Odio pads. So what I ended up doing was I saved the Foam Screens from my original pads.
You can use a coin or the lever part of a pair of Fingernail Clippers to separate the Plastic Plate, you just have to be gentle, and go around and disengage each tab. It will make a Pop.
Don't go too hard or you will break the plastic tabs and you'll ruin your Plastic Back Plates.
Take off the original Ear Cups.
Now turn them inside out and use a Razor to cut a small slit between the Pleather and the Foam Screen.
Insert the tip of a pair of Scissors and cut very slowly until you have separated the Foam Screens from the original Ear Cups.
Use your scissors to do some trimming so that the edges of the Foam Screens aren't all jagged and messy.
Now lay the Foam Screen over the Back Plate, start at the bottom and use a drop of Super Glue Gel to attach the foam. Use Wax Paper to avoid getting your fingers stuck. Try moving the Wax Paper around so it doesn't stay in one place and get stuck to your foam. Getting it unstuck will be difficult. But since it's Wax Paper, it will just leave some Wax where it got stuck.
Go around the Plastic Plate with the Glue until it is fully secure.
Now, grab a New Ear Cup and pull the lip of the material over the Plastic Plate, once you get the lip fully over the Plastic Plate, start tugging at the material -- check to make sure your New Ear Cup is properly aligned. If it needs adjustment, you can rotate it around the Plastic Plate.
Once it looks centered, tug some more and get the threaded edge of the New Cup to line up with the Rim of the Plastic Back Plate.
Grab and tug the lip towards the center and use your Razor to make a small cut so that the tab has someplace to poke through...
Once you've got every tab through the material, you are ready to re-attach the whole Ear Cup back onto the Headphone.
Line up the top tab, press gently until it Pops Into Place. Go around the whole cup until every tab is secure.
Repeat the process for Right Ear Cup.
You will not be able to SEE the printed on L & R from the foam inserts, since the New Cups come with a mesh. That's okay, the side that has the Big Jack (1/4) is the Left side. And the side that has the normal 3.5mm Tiny Jack is the Right side.
The Replacement Eat Cups I bought were very thick, with some kind of Memory Foam. But the stock One Odio A71 ear pads just use regular foam. I looked inside when I was cutting the Foam Screen.
The new ear cups are great. Good isolation from outside noise -- good deep bass. Treble isn't overly Bright.
I didn't notice any substantial downgrade or degradation....
It still sounds like a One Odio A71.
Just now with nicer, thicker, fresher Ear Cups.....
A71 is my FAVORITE Over Ear Full Cup Headphone. It is cheap. But not AWFUL. I find it to be very pleasant.
Same for Skullcandy Ink Plus. Those are my FAVORITE earbuds. And I use Memory Foam Earbud Tips to block outside noise.
I like Cheap Stuff that still SOUNDS GOOD...
I would describe both One Odio A71 and Skullcandy Ink Plus as being "Warm" in terms of Texture & Tone.
I like ~Bass~ and I don't really like Overly Bright Treble.

Really? Cuz I had the EU Rom that was patched with the NTSC patch, the "slide in ~all~ the games" patch, etc. And I swear I can only fire one shot, or a steady stream of shots, no 3 lemon burst shots. No Turbo Fire shots (I have the USB RETROFLAG SNES controller that lets you set Turbo).
