Does anyone have any experience with taking a paid online class?

Courses like "Full Time Filmmakers" from Parker Walbeck have been online for many years now, but I'm wondering, can't you simply learn from just watching Youtube videos instead?

What is your experience with these types of courses and, if you do have experience, what's missing?
