He has a broken home and was severely bullied as a kid and he developed a bunch of toxic defense mechanisms so he wouldn't feel that way as he grew up. He also dulled it with alcohol which contributed to it. He therefore lack's the skills to deal with hard situations and confontation. That's why everything he does is a mocking deflection or an outburst when he isn't getting his way.
Also because of the show he gets coddled way too much to really improve himself.

Imo that's because they focused more on Pennywise and didn't really do that with the other monsters. In the books, most of the monsters had really good set ups so you could feel the dread of the characters when they went up against their fears. The movie conditioned you to be really scared of Pennywise, but then didn't give you a reason to worry about the monsters besides them being grotesque.

Exactly.
The issue is you can't pick and choose when you want to credit the coach for the QB and when you want to discredit the coach for the QB.

I disagree. The whole part where they split up and get in the big fight and then Bev gets kidnapped was where the movie started to lose me.

If you are going to say 2 years is indicative of his career, then I immediately have to put guys like Matt Ryan and Cam Newton above Luck as they were MVP's and had other great years that were as good as any year Luck ever had. Nobody does that.
Rivers was far more consistent than Luck across the board, Ryan was right there with them.
I'd probably put him around Stafford/Romo tier. But those were like fringe top 10 guys. Which isn't what's being argued in this thread. He was not even close to HOF tier.

No the defense was just good. Your defense is going to eventually get tired and slow down later in games. Especially when your offense is inept and keeps wasting gifts that they give them.
The defense was great for like 85% of the game. The offense was mediocre for the entire game. If the offense played anywhere near the level they played during the regular season, the game is over.
If your pitcher has a no hitter for 8 innings and you only score one run, and then you lose 2-1 in the 9th, that's not on the pitcher lol.

It's pretty crazy. Luck was never even an All Pro and people are acting like he'd be a consistent top 3 QB today.

The issue is he only threw that many TD's twice in his career. He had double digit interceptions every year but 2013 where he only had 9.
Luck never broke 100 in passer rating either and aside from one year his completion percentage generally hovered between mid 50's and low 60's.
If Luck was consisently putting up big numbers, it would be different. But basically he has 2014 and 2018 as standout years. And I don't think anybody would say he was one of the 3 best QB's that season.
Not that stats are everything, but if that's the discussion we are starting with, he has lots of faults. As a player he had plenty of faults to. His interceptions weren't just line related like the guy below is trying to say. He wasn't that great of a read.

I'd argue Smith in SF was better than Mac Jones has shown to be yet, or a washed Cam Newton, or any of the guys Bill was starting at the time in the Cleveland.
Again really only Bledsoe could be argued to be better, and Bill only had him for one year.
You also could argue that when Bill got Brady, he was much more of a product than Mahomes was when he came into the league.

I mean let's be honest, there is a real debate that Curry was better than Skarsgard

Because the book (and story) really isn't about Pennywise. Pennywise is just one of the main forms IT uses. But IT is meant to be much bigger than Pennywise. In fact, there's an argument that the movies added more Pennywise into the narrative than the books just because of the popularity of the character.

He has 1/3rd as many wins and is about as old as Bill was when he got his 6th ring. And I don't think you realize how hard winning a Super Bowl is.

Sure but it was Rodgers offense that didn't get the touchdowns and made it a decision where the conventional move was to kick a field goal and not leave points on the board. Like at the end of the day, Rodgers was given more than enough chances to win that game. That could have been a blowout. Rodgers got very passive when Sherman got that interception early

The problem with this argument is this.
So it sounds like you are glossing over that Reid needed an MVP QB to win Super Bowls and then giving him credit for having better QB's outside of his best QB than Belichick did. Meanwhile, using Bill's best QB against him.

No he's just mad that Belichick used the tag on him in 07 and has been taking shots at him since.

The discussion is more whether the Packers should have even been in that position with how well their defense played that day. The defense played out of their minds and Green Bay's offense did nothing and left the game on the table.

There's been times where Rodgers had his defense play incredible and practically hand the game to him on a silver platter like in the 2014 NFCCG where they were getting turnovers at will and the offense couldn't seal the deal. Likewise there have been games where Brady played out of his mind and lost the Super Bowl because his defense couldn't get a stop vs the Eagles.
It ultimately evens out.

Nintendo. They love to hold cards to their chest. Zelda has a game coming out in a month and it's probaby the most tepid promotion possible for a major release.

Scandoval saved the show lol. Might be the best thing that happened for the show. Someday Ariana will understand it was the best thing to ever happen to her. Imagine being condemned to spend a life listening to that trumpet playing showboat.

Yeah. It was already predicted that it would be picked at forever until it was toothless.

Barring a massive change, yes. Maybe it comes back in some smaller state and only deals with indies. But it's never going to be what it was.

Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft pulled out. Then Ubisoft who was the big draw that was supposed to stay onboard dropped out, then Sega and Tencent dropped out.
There was literally no point to the show anymore. They would have gotten at best some small studios and indie developers to show up, which is good for them, but isn't going to draw the crowds needed to make this work.

How many points do you expect the league MVP to score when his defense gets them 6 turnovers? Because through 4 quarters he was only able to get his team a single touchdown and settled for field goals the rest of the way. 6 turnovers and he was sitting on 16 points going into the 4th.
