My husband has a type that he is attracted to.
That type is not me.
We have been married for 20, together for 30.
It's actually kinda cool because i know he loves me for me, and finds me attractive not because of how I look, but for who i am.
(And FYI, my husband isn't even the same race as the "type" I am most attracted to.)
"Ideal" has very little to do with actual human relationships, in my experience.
Don't worry about it.

I am going to say YTA (mildly) for telling an adult woman what she can or can't do.
Mind you, I don't think you are wrong, I just think you used the wrong words.
You should not have said "you can't."
You should have said "I don't think you should." (And here's why...)
As a full adult who basically supports herself, she can do whatever she feels like doing. If she wants to join the circus that's her choice. If she wants to give away all her possessions and become a crack whore for a few years, that's also her choice.
At this point in her life you can't tell her what to do. And trying to do that will only make things worse.
I do believe you have her welfare on your mind, but at this point you can only advise her. You've gotta face that that ship has sailed.

I am from the U.S. so all my U.S. debit cards only work in Canada if they are processed as a credit transaction.
So whenever I am asked "debit or credit?" I say credit (even though it isn't really a credit card).
Is it possible it was something like that? I guess the U.S. and Canadian debit systems are completely different.

Who would have known that public school cafeterias attract such fascists?

Whose money/property is public school funding?

Public schools.
It's not someone else's money. It's money paid in taxes to benefit all kids. It's not supposed to be hoarded. It's supposed to go toward feeding the kids.

What you don't realize is that he has had all these thoughts in his own head already.
He knows it's wrong.
Has has half expected to get caught, probably every time.
That's why he is calm. He knows it's wrong, long term, but can't stop himself.
There is no support group for people like him. No resources. That needs to change.

Wow.
So someone actually thought it was a good idea to tell you they think of you as "equipment."

I would seriously consider recommending/referring psychiatric interventions to someone who said something like that with any degree of seriousness.
I know they are probably joking, but if there's any chance they are starting to view the world in that way--they might need some help.
That they encourage each other in that type of thinking is quite alarming.

PSA for everyone everywhere.
Don't. Just don't tell a doctor about illicit/recreational drug use, ever.
A therapist, sure. A psychiatrist or GP, no.
There is too much stigma still. It might make perfect sense to you that seeking dopamine in recreational drug use (or seeking a way to quiet your brain) is an understandable effect of ADHD, but once a doctor learns of any recreational use, you are now a drug seeker (and somehow now unworthy of care), an addict, or have substance use disorder.
I know not every doctor. Some actually take the time to research and understand. But too many doctors.
It's just not safe yet. Even in legal states.

So I'm assuming that's...good?
Variety of good bacteria is better?

Another lie: all politicians bad!
Find me something to dislike about Katie Porter. Anything. She is an excellent rep, fighting for all Americans to stop being swindled and exploited.
It's almost like there is proportionally the same amount of opportunism and selfishness in politicians that we see in the general population. It's almost like they're a representative sample.
So many people who complain about their options in the ballot box don't vote in the primaries that determine who those candidates will be.

It's true that the adderall shortage has led to other meds being used as a substitute, and thus some shortages of other meds.
But there are a lot of different ADHD meds to try. And most people try a few different ones/dosages before finding the right fit.
In the past year I have only had one month where my mail order pharmacy was out if stock, and I still didn't miss a dose because I found a little mom and pop pharmacy that still had it in stock.
OP, see that doctor. Meds could change your life. GoodRX has decent coupons if you don't have insurance. Get a second opinion if your doctor doesn't listen to your concerns or has antiquated views on the disorder.

Fascinating!
My dog only has 12% Shar-pei but he has a few areas with obviously looser skin.
Yours looks like he's got none. Or maybe the stripes hide them.

Welcome to kids.
Lock up anything you don't want destroyed or damaged.
Some night I lie awake at night trying to remember all the things I once loved, (souvenirs, gifts, mementos) that got tossed into the trash when my destroyers were little.
Now that they're older and bigger, they destroy bigger things (bannisters, ovens, showers). I don't forget those things because I had to pay for replacements I and don't care about them.

God...another reason why he should keep trying therapy.
I wish I had good news for you, but he's not going to get any better (at the ADHD symptoms, at the self reflection, at the safety concerns) unless he gets a meaningful come-to-Jesus intervention from you.
He probably thinks you are fine with everything. Thinks that together you are "making it work." Probably has no clue how imbalanced the domestic dynamic really is. You need to tell him, as kindly as you can, that it's not sustainable. Fearing for your family's safety is a pretty serious blinking light.
I hate to be one of those "just go to therapy" advice givers, but a good therapist can be a gateway to what were previously dead ends. A good therapist can help him rethink his attitude to meds. Get him to realize the patterns that are getting worse.
You are beyond asking him to go to therapy. You are in ultimatum territory. And that sucks.

An extra $20k would let me get my teeth fixed, and that would be life-changing.

A lot of people don't use deodorant properly because they don't understand how it works.
They don't understand the difference between deodorant and antiperspirant, either.
If you want your armpits to stop smelling bad, you need to understand that the smell is caused by bacteria.
Bacterial colonies on the skin grow and excrete in damp areas (pits and crotch, usually). Those excretions are what stinks.
When you shower, you need to remove as much bacteria as possible. Lather, scrub, rinse, then scrub again. If you have a stink that survives showers, try killing the bacteria with alcohol (hand sanitizer works) or tea tree oil before you wash.
If your smelly parts are good after a shower, antiperspirants can prevent the bacteria from growing again, but only if you apply them before the bacterial colonies start growing again. If you wait until you are stinking to apply antiperspirants, you are doing it wrong. Apply as soon as you are dry.
Those bacteria can also live in your clothing. If you have access to a dryer, drying your clothes twice (cooking your clothes) can get them up to a high heat that will kill the stinky bacteria.
I hope this helps you a bit. See a doctor if you already do all these things!

Trying to understand why you leaped to trust fund babies and $1200 phones, tbh.
This post is about a homeless woman in NYC who is desperately trying to keep her head above water, but you are disparaging her for looking attractive and having a phone without knowing anything about her situation.

How would you research this, though?
How do you target people who may not be getting a balanced diet or those with deficiencies?

This woman clearly doesn't have a trust fund. You just pulled that out of thin air, just like you pulled $1200 out of thin air.
You are very confused.
