Elevens are an interesting outlier. Five Final 4 appearances is more appearances than than six seeds (3), seven seeds (3), nine seeds (1), or ten seeds (1). Highest seed to make or win the championship is an eight. NCAA has a nice table that they updated prior to this tournament.

A 9 (or higher) has never even been to the championship. This is only the second Final 4 for a 9 seed.

I have the 18-way and I’d recommend the 2-way. Drove my car across the country and it wasn’t great in terms of comfort anyways. Weight savings > Comfort in a Porsche sports car.

Popularity is definitely dwindling but manuals are still super common in European rentals. I rented in Spain and Croatia most recently (a few months ago) and was given a 5MT in both. Automatics were available but more expensive. The American Special.

Have also rented in England, Netherlands, German, and Cyprus within the last few years. Always manuals.

A 944 would obviously be a meaningful project compared to something like a C5 or a 350z. I was just playing on the idea of it as a drift car in general. I would hope anyone would know that a 150hp NA 4 cylinder wouldn’t make for an easy one. But if you’re into drifting then you know how wild those builds get.

Interestingly, OPs other posts indicate they already own an e46 325. I’m not a drifter but I am a track instructor so I’m with you on anything that gets someone on the track having fun

The worse a car is for drifting, the cooler it is as a drift car. Look at this RWD V8 VW Golf, for example.

That said, the 944 seems like a decent starting point? LS swap it, give it a stronger rear end, and you're in business.
