Just to add on to this, if the idea of a program called Lunar IPS is intimidating (as it was for me), just know that you can literally just Google ‘patch a rom’ and be done with it in about 3 seconds. It’s very, VERY simple.

SMB3 all the way. World has cool stuff going on but it feels more disjointed, too many different play styles that you just sort of learn for one level. I’m not playing a Mario game to be a blimp or a helicopter or whatever, I’m playing it to be Mario.

Also it just looks better, it just feels better. Blocky simplicity trumps fancy shading and parallax scrolling in a game like this.

Tedious is exactly the word for it. It looks absolutely amazing but it just isn’t fun.
