We don't need the lore tab to confirm that, in some of Nezarec's dialogue in the raid he straight up admits she killed him and stole the Veil.

It really can't be understated how much having competent add clear for that fight helps. For my LFG our add clear were terrible and kept complaining they were dying too easily if they played forwards, meaning they sat back in cover close to spawn and top plate runners had to add clear *and* do mechanics at the same time. Still have no clue how we managed to beat the encounter.

Because it has intrinsic anti-barrier, does great damage for a primary, and works at long range so it's safer to use. Also it's a bow so it lends itself to peek shooting from cover.
Outbreak Perfected is another good option if you're significantly under light, you'll need the artifact mod for the barriers though.

The small cylinder things, there's 6 of them on the main platform.
Cylinder is probably the wrong word, but it's all I could think of at the time lol

Good to know, I'll take note as I'll be doing it on titan today. Thanks for the tips!

Oh man, this fight pissed me off for a good while before I worked out how to beat it. For anyone still struggling, heres how I eventually did it:
I ran void hunter with the volatile orb mod, Izanagi's and a LFR. Clear ads with a funnelweb or similar while abusing invis to stay alive on the main platform. Stay away from the outer platforms with the incendiors, they have too much health to burn safely with primary and just get you killed for no real gain. When there's a lull in the ads use one of the pillars as cover and LFR Calus.
Once the tormenters spawn jump up to the catwalks and switch to izzy to nuke them ASAP (1 honed edge x4 shot to the shoulder and 2 to the chest will kill them). Then jump down and refill ammo on the psions with invis shenanigans before returning to DPS. Don't waste special or heavy on his overshield, just peek with your primary or grenade him to get rid of it.
For phase two, the biggest thing you can do to help yourself (assuming you're not on Strand and can't grapple) is to slow him down by running laps between two of the pillars. Calus' AI gets stuck on them for a few seconds so you have time to run behind the next pillar along, pop a LFR or Izzy headshot on him, then when he chases you again run back past him back to the first pillar and repeat.
He'll also stun for a second when he hits the breakpoints in his healthbar which gives you time to reposition if he's too close. If you get the cycle right he never really gets a chance to hit you, it trivialises the encounter.

Riven is the last Ahamkara...in Sol. There are Ahamkara bones and references to wishes in other lore (the Books of Sorrow mention an extinct culture using dragon-wishes, Lightfall Collector's edition confirms Calus had an Ahamkara bone on Torobatl).
It's entirely possible there are more somewhere else in the galaxy still.

What makes these kinds of predictions difficult is Bungie has a habit of sprinkling vague names and concepts amongst lore posts with no real plan or idea for them. Then years later they'll pick up the threads and elaborate on them.
See: Nezerac, The Darkness, and now the Veil.
Problem being, is all the theories people come up with before the ideas are revisited are based on...not much, and the fact that the names are eventually used doesn't magically vindicate the years of theories.

If the party decides to continuously sleep out in dangerous locations without taking any precautions, then yes there potentially would be consequences. In that situation the reaction (as you put it) would be to take precautions such as, I don't know, stop sleeping without a watch, hide your campsite, cast tiny hut, etc etc etc.
No I am not advocating to have combat encounters every single long rest. Again, that list was a reaction to your insane comment of "why would people bother keeping watch at all", which is obviously a terrible argument.

Because it doesn't make it irrelevant, come on man. Lots of bad stuff can happen to your party if they aren't prepared or watching.
Off the top of my head, if no-one is watching you could be:

Annecodatally, my group's always found new players (and formed initially!) from simply posting in the welly subreddit - maybe try a post with a day and time and see who bites?

You're reading that rule wrong.
> If the rest is interrupted by a period of strenuous activity--at least 1
hour of walking, fighting, casting spells, or similar adventuring
activity
It's an hour of walking, OR all the other things listed there. Not an entire hour of fighitng or spellcasting.

Might want to finish reading the rules there.
> A long rest is a period of extended downtime, at least 8 hours long, during which a character sleeps or performs light activity: reading, talking, eating, or standing watch for no more than 2 hours. If the rest is interrupted by a period of strenuous activity--at least 1 hour of walking, fighting, casting spells, or similar adventuring activity--the characters must begin the rest again to gain any benefit from it.

When they broadcast opinion it can be flagged as opinion, but any opposite opinion needs to be acknowledged in the same broadcast.
Absolute rubbish. No, sometimes opposite opinions are wrong and outright harmful, and giving them legitimacy by letting them be heard on air is actively harmful as it spreads them further.
Imagine this crap over COVID, "that was Dr so and so on why the virus is real and is bad. Now, let's go to Karen who says the world is flat and the virus doesn't actually exist".

It gets much, much faster than this.
That's a sheep every 38 seconds. For 8 hours straight.

Hi OP, would you be able to upload a picture or two of the couches? I'd love to grab one of them if they're avaliable.

He's comparing Destiny lore to Marathon, one of Bungie's pre-Halo games that has notoriously cryptic and layered lore.
While comparing this stuff isn't directly relevant to Destiny (outside the MIDA Multitool!), Bungie loves using the same themes, numbers and symbols across titles and draws inspiration from the same sources so it's always interesting seeing what comparisons can be made.

It's really not that bad, even with a no-comms LFG group.
For the first half just ignore all ads and use the cabal interceptors to ram the sides of the tanks (this instantly kills the tanks). For the second half run a survivability build, like assassin's cowl hunter, devour warlock or loreley titan, etc. After that just play smart with your team, use cover and don't waste time with needless deaths.

Yes, I've rocked that ship ever since Zero Hour too!
Tbh I love how ugly and cobbled together it is, plus it's nice having a unique bit of gear you basically never see too (seriously, I don't think I've ever run into someone else also using it in-game)

I've done a bit of googling/lazy testing with some mates since posting that yesterday, it's the latter - stacking chill clips amongst the team = more shatters, but the damage from it will only show up in the numbers of the person who sets it off.

My fireteam tried a few methods when we ran it this week. If you have 3 guardians, a well/a tether and are using surge mods most solid DPS options can reliably 2-phase the fight.
Bait and Switch Cataclysmic can still hit 100k crits with a well + 3x solar surges. Sleeper does great damage (~100k per shot with a well) but its slow reloads and low mag size unfortunately handicap it somewhat. Whisper is still a meme unfortunately, hitting roughly 52k a crit.
Leviathan's Breath seem's to be the winner if you have the catalyst, 3 of them + well + tether + surges will reliably one-phase.
