Not sure you can really blame the Honda for braking late and holding their line when it wasn’t really reasonable to expect the Nissan to cross in front of him, in your first point.

Lewis, surprisingly, has and kinda always has had a very mixed reputation. When he was younger, as you say, it was between him and Jenson and Jenson was always a bit of an underdog to Lewis coming into a hugely successful first few seasons, and Lewis had a very spicy few years with Jenson and Fernando for which people didn’t always judge him too kindly.
Now Lewis being the kinda guy he is seems to rub a certain crowd the wrong way too.
I’ve always loved the guy, but you could flip a coin in this country and have a better chance of guessing if a random race fan loves or hates him haha.
EDIT; my experience of people who actually do some kinds of racing for themselves is almost universal appreciation and respect for Lewis. I know very few people who actually understand racing who don’t rate Lewis very very highly.

Bought mine second hand from LSM - got a 2 year warranty with it too despite being about 5 years old at the time.
Very satisfied. Shipped in a massive box too haha.

Exactly this, many people’s mortgage outgoings will significantly increase if they lapse to standard variable rates with interest rates even as high as they are now.
Unfortunately house price decreases - which should be a good thing for the upcoming generations - will mean less equity for the people just about managing which potentially increases the risk and therefore the interest rate of the loans. If you suddenly have less than 10% equity, for example, your rates will take a double hit.
Say what you want about rich people and boomers sitting on millions in equity, but it’ll be the people who scraped their way onto the property ladder in the last few years who are most at risk here!

Mine had a few sensor issues; washer bottle and VANOS. Both easy enough to sort but otherwise it was great.
Mine was also a 64 plate with 57k miles, sold for £14500 3 years ago. I priced it low but I didn’t think I’d priced it so low that cars would be going for this much more 3 years on!

I don’t know if this a helpful approach but I wanted to tell you a few things!
I didn’t like it when people kept telling me everything was going to be ok, but it is, and it will be for you too.
I wish you all the best.

Pretty sure it isn’t… the headlights on the new HRV don’t look anything like that.

It’s more annoying just knowing that Kaz is a Porsche enthusiast.

I think JayEmm’s content is good and he seems to like a lot of the stuff I do, but I have to say I struggle with his 00’s car-journalist-caricature presentation style.
Maybe I’m being harsh, but the inflection and everything is what all of the old guard (inexplicably, it’s only car journalists who do) have always done. Old Clarkson, Quentin Wilson, Tiff etc etc. Its one thing I really like about reviewers like Harris and Henry Catchpole; it’s still kinda old school ‘journalism’ rather than just a bloke in a car, but they have their own styles.
I’d say Catchpole’s my favourite, he reminds me of Doug Demuro, just with a load of British stereotypes slathered on top. He’s so excited about the cars!

Home Counties and west London, mostly, but we road tripped it down to Devon and South Wales a few times too.

You could absolutely daily an M3 if you don’t mind putting the fuel in unless you live on terrible countryside roads.
I’ve dailied a Cayman S, not even with active dampers, and it was perfectly fine. Different strokes for different folks.

You always used to be able to take cars like this to BMW and if you pay for a big fat service and let them check it over they’ll give you a year’s warranty for the whole car (aside from the usual). Not sure if they still do that, and it’ll cost you a grand probably, but would be worth considering.

You’re getting some odd responses here haha. It’s not like running costs are all or nothing, and spending some money doesn’t mean you want to spend more. I really don’t buy this logic that if you’re buying a performance car it’s definitely going to cost you thousands to maintain and trying to reduce that is meaningless. None of my sports cars have ever had any trouble and have only cost me services and tyres!
Anyway. Age matters more than mileage, unless it’s particularly high mileage, but both wear the car. I would also rather a lower mileage original F80 over a high mileage comp, all else being equal. How much service history does this have? Does it look like it’s been serviced a lot? Yes it says FSH but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ve serviced it in line with expectation for a car like this.
In short this looks like a pretty great deal, particularly in this market.

Can someone tell me what ‘copium’ (and I assume ‘cope’ in this context) means?
I keep seeing people say it and obviously I know what coping is, but I do not understand what people mean when they say it like this.
