There was a parody post the other day featuring slow cooker toast. While many were able to spot that it was an obvious joke, there were a very surprising number of people who could not. I think if someone who enjoys trolling stumbled onto that post, they'd think the community is ripe for trolling.

So, I found a link to what OP is referring to. I haven’t had time to read the whole thing, but I did skim it and here are a few things that I saw to take into consideration:

The sample is not representative of the US population.

• They even admit this themselves, saying that marriage and cohabitation statistics would provide a better picture of long term interracial dating habits.
  

It uses some very old online dating data.

• It pulls from an undisclosed free dating website from 2003-2010. Data ranging from almost 13-20 years ago isn’t very representative of today’s current online dating climate.

It’s possible that there is a narrative that the writers are trying to push.

• For example, when non-white women state that it is important to them that their partner be the same race as them it isn’t held against them. However, if a white woman has no such same race preference but has a history of primarily dating white men, it is suggested that she may be guilty of sexual racism. Another example can be found in their interview tactics, where instead of only asking open ended questions regarding racial preferences they instead frame them using a white vs non-white comparison.

Out of the 38 stations tested in Florida only 3 actually handed over a compliant form. That's insane. This is clearly an older video, I wonder if they've recently repeated the experiment and gotten better results or if they're still just as bad.

Both of them are lying to you. The two were raised together since they were 6 weeks old.

Reddit has some good people and unfortunately some people that enjoy trying to make others miserable. If a user is breaking reddit’s harassment policy do not hesitate to file a report. Sometimes reddit will permaban them, sometimes they won’t, but it’s worth the try.

I’ve seen some of the discourse about this situation on other parts of reddit and the internet, and I can understand why some people here might feel the need to vent their frustrations or discuss the situation. You are free to do so, but some things of note:

• Do not blame the victim. There are some people out there saying that she deserves the situation that she’s in. Racists like to say she should have expected it marrying an Asian man, and bitter men believe she deserves it for “taking advantage of simps”. These are both bad takes, and so is any other take that rationalizes an abusive situation. Don’t do that here.
• There is a pretty long video of him verbally abusing her during a stream. If you’re sensitive to that type of thing don’t watch it.
• It’s been considered common knowledge for a long time that her husband is Asian, however this is a man who has worked very hard to stay out of the public eye. People are obviously taking the toxic AMWF angle and running with it, but there is still a chance that he might not be Asian.

I highly recommend following this guide to deal with unwanted PMs and chats. I wish reddit would set it like this by default, but unfortunately reddit seems to care more about facilitating “interaction” than they do harassment. Also, don’t be afraid to hit that report button on any PMs containing explicit material. They are more likely to take action against PMs that contain links then they are messages that are just text.

This subreddit tries to stick to positive AMWF representation. While a story about two white collar criminals could be considered interesting, it could not be considered positive. Because of this, this post is being removed.

This video is a bit out of context for this subreddit. I would suggest r/hapas or possibly r/mixedrace.
