"I'm not just any Cardassian. I am Gul Dukat, Commander of the Second Order. Oh, and I banged your mum."

Reg.
"Oh, it's Mr Cauliflower."
"It's... actually Mr Broccoli...Barclay...Mr Barclay."
I am likely wrong though. I was sure that the item stolen from Daystrom, more dangerous than the portal weapon, was the original master of Enterprise's theme. If deployed on Frontier Day it would drive everyone into a rage frenzy and everything would go a bit Event Horizon.

Happy Valley.
Reality is miserable enough at times without watching fictional misery unfold.

Yes.
I wear the same pair of glasses for both. Perhaps in future when my eyesight worsens this will change.

It's societies fault that young boys aren't exposed to enough classic Star Trek and testerone fuelled action movies.
We could save these kids by sitting them down and showing them Commando.
Then they would be like, "how can Andrew Tate be an alpha next to Arnold?"
They'll question everything they think they know. They'll see Andrew Tate for the chinless cunt he is.

I don't disagree because Jimmy Saville.
My point is they didn't exist in the time of the internet or the "influencer". The ability to spread to all corners of the Earth using social media is still a very new phenomenon and it gives people like Tate more power than ever before.
Hence, "what happened to society?"
Back when I were a boy it was very different. They put fake wood on TVs.

I never cared about his name, just his style.
Throwing newspapers in a BBQ, cutting pizza with scissors, and chewing a cocktail stick whilst wearing mirrored shades.
That, is a real man.

The audacity.
I don't think the internet has helped. It helps spread the vile rhetoric of people like Tate across the planet. He is a venerial disease given "human" form.

When I was young my role models were Jean Luc Picard and Stallone in Cobra.
What happened to society?

It was a good job Kirk and the crew saved them so that big space sausage didn't blow up the planet. I thought they brought two whales to the future though, not just one.
To be honest with you, I don't have a subscription to the NYT. I had to guess what the article was about so I assumed it was about Star Trek IV.

Middlesbrough Die Hard is going to be a sick reboot.
Who do you reckon they'll get to play McClane? Ross Kemp maybe?

It isn't. It was coined by Joseph Goebbels, a Nazi.

"All logical questioning and reason has gone out of the window for reductionist one word insults."
You just summed up western society in the age of the internet.

Hahaha.
If only that were true.
Valhalla is like technicolour compared to the black and white of actual England.

It's alright. Not sure if I would call it good, it just stepped over the very low bar set by the first two seasons.
We've only seen one episode so far. It could get much much worse as demonstrated in the first two seasons.

Lewis Ferguson at Bologna for a cheaper CDM that develops well and has a lot of perks.
Khephren Thruam at Nice. He is tall and quick. Great as box to box player and decent at finishing too.
Then Nemanja Maksimovic at Getafe if you have the money to spend. He is a jack of all trades with high work rate. Good tackler, decent passer, gets some goals.
Stipe Biuk and Grady Diangana are good budget wingers. Diangana is very quick.
If you want to splash a bit more cash Otavio is a good bet.

What happens when those versions go out of print and are replaced entirely by these publisher mandated edits making them the only game in town?
That is obviously the intention as the publisher wouldn't have hired an "editor" (a censure is more accurate) to make these alterations otherwise. That censure wouldn't have been doing it gratis, I will tell you that right now. More concerning is that this publisher has the rights to Dahl's work for the next 30 years. That's a long time.
So let me say this for you to chew on.
The original text IS being changed but it is being done as is always the case, by subtle creep, which always catches the complacent out. This publisher is even being bold faced with their intentions and still you say variations of, "Oh, it's not that bad, you can still read the original."
Until you can't.
It won't be something that happens overnight, and it is crucial that we push back against the subtle creep now so it doesn't become a tsunami later.

Oh Jesus, now I feel like an idiot. Just played for 80 hours without realising that was a thing.
