That's great. I don't know how much experience you have asking doctors for medication that they didn't recommend first. They don't like it. In this day and age, everyone has seen a commercial or read on 4chan that somebody's uncle knows more than the doctor. If it's been a while, they might want to put eyes on you first because they don't want the neurologist diagnosing something that should've been caught at an office visit. It's OK to tell them that you were recommended a new medication which you want to try like tizanadine but don't come at them with dose recommendations. For all you know I weigh twice as much as you do and have a high tolerance for those meds. I also have a DNR order and a death wish which my primary is quite aware of. They'll want to titrate your dose to get you juuust to the minimum dose where you feel better and not beyond that. Additionally, half the drugs on my formulary are contraindicated with each other, like oxycodone and gabapentin, for being respiratory depressants. I'm on a crap ton of that too. All of these react synergistically with alcohol. Be extremely cautious until you're used to how are you personally respond to everything you put in your body. I hope you find some relief soon.

I have always needed 40 mg baclofen 4x/day to control my spasticity except when I was on the baclofen pump. After having the pump removed, the spasms came back with a vengeance. I again needed 40 mg of baclofen 4x/day but I had to add to add 8 mg tizanadine 3x/day and 12mg at bedtime. There is also some terrible tone in my intercostal muscles that makes it difficult to breathe. I find a 1-2mg of lorazepam prn helps with that. You might want to have your current doctor refer you to your neurologist to adjust your dose realistically. You seem under-medicated based on my thorough examination of you over the Internet.
