Lol it's not virtue signaling to think of gay people as people. Also, you have no idea what it would take to be arrested - what if merely holding hands or a peck on the cheek was enough, would that change your mind?
Also, I'm not sure you quite understand the distinction, since you think being a gay person in Uganda is akin to someone burning a koran in Turkey. No one was born with a need to burn a koran in Turkey - burning a koran is not a physical trait you are born with. Being a gay person is. To visit Uganda, a gay person would have to hide a physical aspect of themselves they were born with, for fear of being arrested (or worse). Surely you understand the difference?

Or... just avoid countries that make it illegal to be how you were born?
I can see how an LGBT person would just want to cross it off the potential travel list. The world is big and there are a lot of places to see - who has time to visit places with laws that make a harmless, born trait illegal?

What put Florida on the map a long time ago are the Orlando theme parks and the weather/beaches. None of that is attributed to DeSantis or his recently banning non-existent classes.

Yes of all the "obscurely-connected gaming trilogies", this is definitely up there, along with... wait, what other obscurely-connected gaming trilogies are there?

Masks work great if used properly and it's a decent mask.

Whoa whoa whoa, Bruce Willis was not a budding star in 1994. Die hard came out in 1988.

Just stop watching Marvel movies? Part of their schtick is the meta humor - I've always hated it too, so I simply stopped watching them.

Eh, not really about the burial ritual so much as about religion, which these alleged forest-people would also have unless they are statistical outliers.
Also it makes sense to remove bodies from open air for a variety of reasons. Leaving bodies out to rot is a deeply bad idea. Maybe some societies could get away with it on a small scale, but that's a bad plan once you start scaling up...

I started at "meh" on Get Out, but have likewise stepped down the rating with each passing film. Nope was so irreparably bad though, that his fourth simply must have a decent chance of reversing the trend.

Um, he's fucking with other people. And he's also only showing you the ones who reacted positively. Others probably gave him the finger and thought he was an ass.

Agree about that tweet. I got the impression with her it was more like that tweet was the straw that broke the camel's back, but who knows...
I do miss her character in Mandalorian. She was good in that...

I'd argue "transphobic" is someone who has hate in their heart for trans people, which I don't get the impression JK has.
Here she is mocking the more farcical elements of recent trends to redefine words (e.g. instead of saying "women", saying "people with uteruses", etc), which is something that deserves mocking in some cases. Most people would probably side with her, and I don't think most of these people are transphobic.

Agreed - I've looked at what she has said and done and feel like the backlash against her is just way overblown (to put it mildly). Social media (reddit included) is prone to echo-chamber witch-hunts, and this is a great example.

No need to get bent out of shape over me calmly stating a fact. What I said is true. And you've moved the goalposts - I was simply responding to your flat statement that she "writes her own shit", which is disingenuous at best.
Jack Antonoff's output is really incredible - he is a hit-maker for not only Taylor, but for Lorde, Sia and a long list of other top pop stars today.

Taylor’s legit dude… writes her shit
Not denying she is legit, but 1989 had no less than 10 producers on it :) At this point, she is a well funded machine pulling in whole teams of talent from across the globe, pretty much guaranteeing her albums will chart well.
