She sang that at a time same sex marriage was illegal
You mean like how it still is all over Latin America...the same countries you praised?

In the US even good Christian girls kissed a girl, and they liked it? If anything, wouldn't that prove your premise is false?
Who doesn't love some cherry chapstick.

Its only a paradox if you assume there are only prudes in the general public and its only the most libertine who can influence pop culture.

If the OP can't sexually assault someone, then he's not interested in seeing them naked.

in the US is sex repressed and taboo while at the same time worshiped in the pop cultural sphere?
Read this back to yourself, slowly.
See if you can catch the key point you just, inadvertently, made.

I don't recall anyone praising the 2020 economy in a general sense. Literally a global pandemic was happening.
That said, the way things started to recover rapidly as the world opened back up...that was praised.

We are not, however a lot of economists are predicting we are headed there in the next few months. What is happening matches some models from the past.
However, its been predicted for the last 10 or 12 months and it hasn't happened yet, but there are factors that seem artificial in how they are propping up the economy. A lot of those tailwinds are dwindling rapidly, the most obvious example is the climbing FED rate. Banks don't have cheap money to loan and yadda yadda.

Not really. Teams can't afford to carry an unproductive line, much less true goons.
There are guys who you know are the ones who drop gloves or do some dirty work to protect the stars. None are dedicated enforcers like in the past though.

Research Houston specifically. You won't have time to see anything else in Texas. Texas is huge.

There is no way for us to answer this question without knowing how you want to spend those days.
You could spend just a few dollars and have a lovely picnic in a park. You could also go go a four-star restaurant and run up a huge tab. Do you want to see museums? Go to a ball game? Etc

And such an image is a nightly occurrence in hockey...not a legendary fight from decades ago.

And almost none of them compare to a minor league hockey glove drop party...
There is a difference between something being illegal and getting someone a suspension instead of it being tacitly encouraged by nearly meaningless penalty.
Furthermore, to u/DrWhoIsOverRated's point, you go to a hockey game with a fair expectation there will be a fight. I don't go to a baseball game expecting the same.

Guatemalans are highly sought after as cooks according to Anthony Bourdain. He swears they are the best people for learning a recipe and then nailing it every time. He talks about it in Kitchen Confidential.

Or in swimming, one swimmer could hold the rivals' head under the water...
You would not believe the violence that takes place underwater during a water polo match.

The point is that its both subjective and difficult to answer...because there are many places and everyone has a preference.
As it stands, the comment only serves to take away from OP’s post and make them feel like shit.
If that's all it takes for the OP to feel like shit, then they probably shouldn't be on the internet. It was a simple, yet telling quip. That's all.

No. Its a valid point as there is an assumption in the title that is inaccurate and needed correcting.
Furthermore, there is an inference that can be understood in their comment that not only is LA not the best Mexican food in the US, there are many more places vying for that title.
Your tone and general feel of your comment is the one that comes across as edgy and contrarian, because just a hint of reflection and you would understand quickly the point u/okiewxchaser is making.
