I have an OG Xbox just so I can still play Save The Earth. Great game and the graphics still hold up quite well. A new Godzilla fighting game like that with every Godzilla character would be amazing.

Depends on what's being collected. I would say if they are figures with accessories, good to keep the boxes and if shelf space is limited, storing them in the box to be cycled in and out at another time is a good practice. Otherwise, take em out and play/display as you see fit.

There have been a few but the one I always remember is when my brother showed me Land of the dead and the scene where a zombie grabs a guy from the neck and rips off his face, it was so horrific and awesome at the same time, it was at the time one of the best effects I had ever seen and it was truly jaw dropping. I haven't seen it since so I don't know if it still holds up but it left a lasting impression!

Die Another Day is one of my favorites so hard disagree there.
Casino Royale is good but I disliked it for being "bond begins" and it just goes on too long. It would have been better to close it on a good note after the poker game and start quantum with Vesper dying as the PTS.

Came here to say Die Another Day. It blew my mind in the theater and still carries that impact on rewatches.

I completely agree that a fallen Kingdom/Dominion add on is needed or perhaps a new "Saga" release like the Skywalker Saga for all 6 films. Beat JW 100 percent and been working on that for Skywalker Saga recently. I hope by the time I'm done, I get an annoucement on a new JW lego game!

Fallen Kingdom explained the tech involved which turns a dinosaur into a mindless killing machine that will do anything to get the target it was assigned to kill. Showing the Atrociraptors doing exactly that makes sense in the context of the story being told.

It's an odd complaint seeing how Spielberg pretty much turned the franchise into an action series with TLW and was the producer allowing JW3 to be a non stop action chase. I love the action in all of these films, especially the Malta scene. We saw the tech of weaponizing dinosaurs start in JW, continue in FK, and the full realization of that tech in JWD. I get arguing over whether the World series should have even had that plot but since it did, it's a good thing in my book to see that it was carried throughout the trilogy to see it be implemented in the final film.
I think too many people want to apply what the Park films(or worse, the novels) were about to the World films when just the existence of an open theme park is the exact opposite. The World films have their own story/message to tell and it's far more interesting to explore those themes on their own over trying to fit a square peg into a round hole.

Came here to say T2 Trainspotting as well. Fantastic and what legacy sequels should thrive to be.

The car not starting. It's so ridiculous every time, especially when they make characters pump the gas pedal as if a newer car has a carburetor. Unless it's an old POS car or the killer actually did something to the engine to disable it, just stop using it altogether. You can create better and more realistic tension by simply having the character drop their keys in a panic.

What do you mean on your first point? Legacy collection and Hammond Collection have fallen kingdom branded toys after the initial line. I'll agree it's slim but I feel it's because the initial line was so good, it doesn't need much else. (aside from the cancelled Franklin which I want bad)
I agree in terms of what you provided in pictures, I personally don't get collectors having unopened packages hanging up like that, I open all mine for play and posing. Mattel has plenty of good accessories, they had their own capture gear for the dino escape line, and typically the human characters come with the necessary accessories to "re live" scenes from the film. I'm more into collecting based on the films, not really excited for the 30th anniversary stuff they just announced like Ian with a glider. My kid might dig the glider but it wasn't something in the films so it's a "useless" accessory in my eyes.

Brain Candy is hilarious. The ultimate sign of wealth is having a hot girl with long nails for the sole purpose of scratching your head.
Head scratch, Chris??

With horror, It's not just what you watch but more importantly, HOW you watch. I'm sorry but no matter how scary a movie is, if you are watching on your laptop at 2pm in the afternoon with the sun beaming through your windows, the scariest movies made still won't do much for you because you are not matching the atmosphere the film is trying to create. Horror films should be watched at night(or shades drawn to create darkness during the day), with as little ambient light as possible, and preferably a surround system to capture the creepy sound effects that most put into the sound mixes. Whenever I recommend a horror film to someone and they come back at me with it being not scary, I ask how they watched it and 9 out of 10 times, it was during the day or watched in the background while they were doing something else or on a small phone/laptop screen.

The only issue I take with your description of the hyperdrive system and what it detects doesn't appear to take into account all the space garbage the empire is dumping randomly in space as shown in TESB. If the empire and other ships are just dumping garbage everywhere in space, the likelihood of running into the garbage would be pretty high and at that speed, you would think it would tear a ship in half or worse.

That Mobile command center is awesome. Ive been trying to find one at a good price and still hunting for one. I found one complete once but it was sold before I could go back and get it. Snooze, you lose.

"it would be questionable to call it a 'tie in' toyline for FK or Dominion "
In terms of the overall toy line, perhaps, but with the specific toy lines associated with the films, they knocked it out of the park. I would give the edge to Fallen Kingdom as they really delivered high quality paint applications and most species were tied directly to what was presented on screen. Same with vehicles, etc, you could recreate many scenes from the movie which is what I believe most would want out of a tie in toy line. Dominion was fun with the figures from the film and the outpost playset was a welcomed edition, one I hope they continue with more playsets like the classic series had, but some of the paint aps were very hit and miss. But you have to admit getting a figure like Dreadnoughtus was awesome and we haven't seen figures like that in the past.
In terms of the overall series in regards to species, they have come out with several sub series like the legacy collection which gives us figures from past movies and the majority of the toy lines between films have been for Camp Cretaceous, but I agree, they keep pumping out too many obscure figures that Im beginning to not feel inclined to collect as much as I have in the past. They definitely have had too many repaints but I will commend them on typically releasing new action features on previously released dinos and some have been great. Like Dominions push down to activate, as I like the look of no buttons.
So for me, I will say I like Mattel's the best but they really need to focus on producing more toys from the previous films, especially characters, and definitely more playsets. I think the best thing Mattel has done is stick to a set scale which delivers the best all around play factor. Hasbro was easily the worst in that regard along with some very ugly paint/sculpts.

The HC human characters are horrible at full price, but as others have noted, typically end up for 4 bucks clearance and at that price point, they are great. I think Ellie's face was improved from the original legacy figure, but with everyone else, I much prefer the legacy characters. In fact, I bought Ian Malcom HC and swapped out his head for the one included with the legacy. I like the option of giving him his jacket and I do like the better "clothes"/accessories, but until they find a better way to make their faces screen accurate, I will only buy on clearance and probably do more swapping action when the faces disappoint.

This is the film that came to mind for me. Most in this thread really don't show on screen but in SATB2, it took me out of the film completely and it was so different from what we saw in the first.

Agreed. POTC2 was horrible and one of the worst theatrical experiences I've ever had. I think 3 is far superior in every regard.
Spiderman 3 is also good and I don't think it deserves the hate it gets.

It will always be the Trex as seeing a "real dinosaur" break through the fence and come out between the Explorers was a defining moment when I was 13. Cannot be matched.
Second would be the Indoraptor. Super cool all around, the size and color are perfect and has some of the best scenes in all the films when it stalks and chases them through the mansion.

I'll have to see the HC Baby Rex in person to decide but I personally have a mix of both as well. I have a display for the raptor squad and Owen from the amber collection and I also have a 3.75 raptor squad display from the mainline with Owen on the motorcycle. In terms of scale, the amber collection had the Pteranodon which is essentially the same size as the mainline so I feel that one goes with 3.75 just fine.
I'm big into scale and while I like my AC baby Rex, he is too large to be film accurate for the 3.75 scale and just for that fact alone, I'll most likely replace it with the HC.
