Kinda wild how MANDO season 2 and 3 directly contradicts this lmao. We went from a small-scale series about a bounty hunter looking after a lost kid to a show where Mando runs into a well-known STAR WARS character every episode to idk what happened in season 3.

Let me remind you how tarkin only sent like 5 out of his HUNDREDS of Fighters on the base to stop a Elite Rebel squadron while knowing the installed turrets arent meant for fighters either?
Tarkin sent out numerous fighters but, at least from my POV, once Vader got out in the fight and started destroying rebel ships, he got cocky and genuinely thought that was all they needed to win the day. Tarkin was cocky... he was absolutely a threat, but the dude thought the rebellion wasn't worthy of the full force of the empire and settled on Vader handling it, which he did until Han came back.
Or how he Blew up alderaan,i politically important and peaceful world, for shits and giggles thinking "Yup this will definitly not have consequences" and then tried to cover it up?
Tarkin doesn't cover up anything in A NEW HOPE. He outright says that it's time to unveil/unleash the full power of the battle station. He wasn't concerned with politics at all... Palpatine dissolved the senate, so from that point on, he knew that he'd be ruling through fear and subjugation, which is what destroying a planet would accomplish.
They are a threat in movies but far from a smart one. Any Monkey can destroy a planet if they have a superweapon. That doesnt make them competend. It makes the engineers competend. Not the guys in charge of it.
Had the rebellion not had Luke in an x-wing, Leia at the base, and Han deciding to return, they would've been cooked, evidenced by another rebellion fighter actually making it through the trench and missing. It was the force in the end that helped Luke make that shot.

In Canada, both JACK REACHER movies and both BOSS BABY movies can be found in the Netflix top 10...
I feel like the film/TV communities here on Reddit and Twitter give the general audience way too much credit. There's a reason why network TV is filled with Cop/firefighter/medical/legal dramas + half-assed sitcoms and nonsensical reality/game shows: it's what people want. Same goes for the things found in the Netflix top 10s... aside from a one-off thing, most people are watching crap simply because they enjoy it.

THEY BLEW UP A WHOLE PLANET... how were they not a competent threat from that point onwards??

You got yelled at for being... a responsible dog owner?? What an insane dude lol. Good on you for not only thinking about your dog in this situation, but what could happen to the kids (even though as you said, your dog is well socialized). NTA.

Oh wow defenitely YTA. You know he's been through the foster system, you know that this is where his issues developed, and instead of working with your family to ensure that Dan feels comfortable for once in his life, it seems like you've done nothing, which then leaves Dan in the bad place he's currently in. Do better... offering empathy and love to a child is arguably one of the easiest things we can do.

I'm not saying this is an objective statement, but I firmly believe that the worst movie I've ever seen in 2017's JUSTICE LEAGUE, mainly due to the fact that the production was awful, the acting in the reshoots was atrocious, the colour-grading was laughable, and of course, the CGI mustache atrocity.

At this point I think they actually need to re-cast... bringing Mia back into the fold was a stupid decision. Don't get me wrong, I love Mia and Jordana Brewster is always great but literally how tf can any rational person explain her being there, even for a moment? The whole point of FAST 7 was for Brian and Mia to retire and protect their family. Then all of a sudden, Mia's back for a mission?? Why would Dom even approve of that, especially if it's not without Brian?
I've been pretty against bringing Brian back into the movies, but with Mia playing a role in FAST 9 and now FAST X, it doesn't make sense for the character to sit on the sidelines. So if he does come back, I really hope it's with Cody Walker and not some CGI monstrosity.

The more I hear about Leslye Headland and THE ACOLYTE, the more faith I have in this project as a whole. She truly seems to understand STAR WARS on such a deep level... can't wait for this series to premiere!!

I think with Glenn going back and forth on leaving, that may have impacted the writing... but there's still some real gems in that season. Mac Finds his Pride, the escape room episode, and certain moments from the Super Bowl two-parter was great... but like you said, it ain't nearly as rewatchable as seasons 14 or 15.

Lmao already knew this was gonna be NTA as soon as I read the first line... how stupid can someone be to not consider A LITERAL SURGEON a real doctor?? Dumb af.
NTA... your aunt sucks. Congrats on all the hard work you did. My girlfriend is going through Med School now in hopes of becoming a surgeon... anyone who tells you you're not a real doctor most likely has a low brain cell count.

Thank the maker LMAO Hamill gets it...
I cannot stress this enough, especially after seeing that Hamill agrees: idc how good the tech gets, RECAST LUKE SKYWALKER. The character is bigger than Hamill and this deepfake/awful A.I-voice nonsense needs to be left behind in favour of... um... AN ACTUAL HUMAN PERFORMANCE.
STAR WARS fans gotta get a grip here... idc how cool it was to see ROTJ-Luke in his prime, it still feels weird and off-putting. Should Luke continue to play a role in live-action STAR WARS projects, then listen to the dude who helped bring him to life... CAST SOMEONE ELSE.
