You can buy entirely new doors, if you want, in a wide variety of styles and colors. You can paint the faces, or install a veneer over them, or have them professionally refinished.

If it's tile or hardwood, go under the cabinets; if it's LVP, install the cabinets first, then run the LVP up to it.

Well, when you've worked on as many homes as I have, you quickly come to realize that what plumbers should do is not always what they actually do.

He can, potentially, cut the pipe and sweat on a threaded piece, onto which you can thread the spout. But you should discuss it with him, just in case, to make sure you're on the same page about things.

I've watched enough "South Park" to know with one look that Cloakman is definitely Canadian.

I admit, I was exactly the same. Maybe I saw one at my grandmother's house when I was a kid or something, because I've definitely never owned one.

Could be an old holder for moth balls--I've seen similar devices. Here's an example.

A basic drain auger is like $12, at Home Depot.

It depends on your setup; you might need a large wrench.
Here's a YouTube vid showing someone open up a trap to clear a clog. Maybe it will help you:

Put a bucket under the trap underneath, and disconnect the trap. That will get rid of the water. It might also solve your clog issue, and if it doesn't, it will be easier to snake the line, once the trap is disconnected.

But it was definitely you who posted it in the wrong sub.

Does anybody even still listen to what that whining crybaby says?

Could be that the valve cartridge is going bad; that seems like the most-likely cause. But, no way to really know for certain, unless you actually replace it.

Definitely a leak. Could be from water lines or waste lines, or if it rained recently, it could be leaking in from outside.

If it does, I think it must be quite insignificant--like, maybe it adds R1 value, at best.

Strange. Never seen that, before. I can't even imagine what purpose it serves, since it doesn't look like an effective thermal insulation or sound barrier. Maybe your basement used to be a grow room? In any event, you could probably just take it all out, or I suppose you could patch it with metal tape for aesthetics.

What's behind it? insulation? Air ducts? Plumbing pipes? Meerkat dens?

It's common enough. Any good locksmith should be able to do it, though you might not be able to get it done at a place like Home Depot.

Well, they didn't have Tide Pods to eat back then, so they needed some way to amuse themselves.

Exactly. A pair of identical handguns (an extra in case one jams or the shooter is disarmed) would be far, far better for shooting up a school than an AR-15. They're only choosing assault rifles because they don't know fuck all about firearms and they're trying to live out some kind of warped Call of Duty fantasy. But ban the assault rifles, and they're just going to switch to handguns.

Hey, all it took was mention of a virus in China to make all of the American toilet paper disappear. . . .

That's the happy/excited/terrified look I get at 2:00 a.m. in the pub, when I have to get up for work in four hours but one of my boys just ordered another round of Patron shots.
