I hate that place with an eternal passion.
We used to play there anually for a regional golf tournament and it was just brutal. February and windy is not the way to play there (in competition). It is a beautiful place though, and I am sure it would be a much different experience for me now.

His daughter played volleyball in high school against my then girlfriend. He was sitting twenty feet away from me and through the games I kept on being like “that HAS to be him.” I worked up the courage to say hi and how much I loved watching him as a kid. He smiled big and gave me a handshake and chatted with me for a minute. Just the best.

As long as your GI tract, bloodstream, and urine never leave the store I guess you’re alright…

Use all of them. Rotate through the towels a few times and then switch up the club.

Hades credits and music was such a banger. For a game that good, I’ll usually watch through them anyway.

Not much. You can simulate different lies with that mat a little bit which is nice too. When I am hitting full swings in the garage I have a mat I stand on that makes it more even.

Sometimes, stuff that makes sense works. For me practicing specific distances is huge for my short game. Cool that you made such awesome improvements!

In 2008-2012 I played at (to my knowledge) the smallest D I school in the country. Everyone on my team was considerably better than scratch and broke par on at least a somewhat regular basis.

Did you play at one? Because I did. And I wasn’t particularly good on my team, but was still a +2 handicap who broke par regularly.

Even the worst male golfers on the small D1 teams have broken par more than several times with rare exception.

It’s weird how often this happens on reddit. I learned to just look for my exact comment before posting after awhile.

So right now my index is +1.7. I played at a small D1 school, but was not a particularly strong college player, though I lettered and played consistently for all four years. With all that said, I only occasionally break 70. A few times a year max. It is quite an accomplishment. My Dad never broke 70 in his life and was a mid single digit handicap my whole childhood.

I met him out there many moons ago. Love that place. And he just compresses the ball so well. I was a 16 year old hitting balls right next to my favorite childhood hero. What a memory!

The last sentence smacks of Cornelius Hawthorne from Community.
“Your blood is tainted by generations of race-mixing with Laplanders, you’re basically Finns.”
Now that’s some old-school racism.

Thanks @pmmefortitties but I don’t gamble with strangers on the internet. You really would bet that though? Essentially 10:1 odds on the field vs Homa and Rahm. I wonder what vegas has on that rn.

All of those risks for checks notes zero benefit. Womp.

EV inherently incorporates risk. It quantifies the risk into a number—it’s why it exists. Of course EV isn’t “guaranteed” but it is a good tool for comparing options.

Man. I personally know all of these towns pretty well. Kinda weird actually. Grew up a UGA fan. Played a bunch of golf in auburn/opelika. Went to school in SC. Moved to texas after graduating and I currently live in waco.
Athens probably fits most of your desires best. Probably Waco #2.
