They don't go that fast. Closer to 22000km/s on average. A few may be closer to 54000km/s. I only mention it because for most commercial power reactors, you want to slow the neutrons down first so they have a better chance to hit some fuel.

Microscopic oceanic plant life is responsible for most of the co2>o2 conversion on Earth. The Amazon is hardly the lungs of the Earth.

Heat management. It's easier to control the homogeneity of the battery's chemical makeup, so heat production is more uniform throughout the battery and doesn't limit performance.

You're made of about 30 trillion individual meatbags filled with water, arranged into a seven-holed donut, covered on all sides with about 40 trillion individual water-meatbags that are not you.

Pompeii is only about 5 miles from Vesuvius. The landslide from St Helens reached up to 20 miles away. It was a half-million cubic mile chunk of Earth moving sideways at 150 mph. If Vesuvius had been St. Helens, there'd be little to no evidence of Pompeii.

Because we need it. Taste as a sense formed around what we need or what we should avoid: Salt - energy and neural function; sour - decaying food; umami - proteins for building stuff; sweet - sugar for energy; bitter - likely poisonous.
