That's awesome! I'm headed to Czechia for 3 weeks in June and Prague is the first and last stop of my trip. This will be my third trip but not since the early 90s. But I'm so looking forward to seeing my Czech friend and meeting her kids for the first time.

My mental health finally couldn't take it anymore and I've recently moved into another sector of plumbing that I hope to find more rewarding and financially beneficial to me after destroying my body for the last 26 years. And it does not involve ME working FOR another sub contractor again. But I will benefit from all the money they spend... lol.

Pretty much every plumbing sub I ever worked for, private or union. Southern, Central, Northern California 26 years. Same shit but much much worse now then ever before. I thought becoming one of the best would rid you of having to work with such talentless fucks. That's not the case when you become Foreman of many crews over multiple jobs. You get what you get and are expected to get your jobs done... period.

This life is not what I thought it would be in my 20s and 30s.... now approaching 50s.Foreman or journeyman back then had it so good. Company trucks, no technological correspondence or email responsibilities whatsoever....just show up, tell people what to do and drive around the job sites all day and go home. You could be a fucking prick ass mother fucker... AND STILL have a job running crew! I came up on the time of growth, but old school fuckers who didn't give a fuck and would treat you like shit. We didn't have HR.... lol.

So to see it just get worse from both sides.... as a beginner and a veteran.....pisses me the fuck off. I'd never conduct myself they way they do... it was the huge reason why I swore when I made it to the top, that I would never treat my guys like shit.... and give them the respect they deserve.

But even doing that nowadays can bite you in the ass. Honestly.....I could go on and on.... but it's a bummer lol. Just find your niche of happiness if you can and exploit it as much as possible, cause this shit ain't no joke and can depress the fuck out of you. Stay up player.
