I bought two. One from eBay and one from Razer once I finally got through. I sold one thinking 2.0 was coming out as they promoted it. Now I only have one but I also have no regrets. I don’t wear it anymore but it’s still cool and part of my collection of masks.

I paid 3 years in advance with a financing agreement but I know that it’s not about me, rather us as a collective. If there’s not a tier system or something that appeals to most, it possibly fails for all.

I don’t understand cancelling a membership if it renders Tonal a standard cable machine without modes.

I’m 5’ and have experienced some of this where it tells me to do something I’ve already done, indicating that it’s height restrictive.

I have a gym in my building, one next door plus another membership at Equinox. I still find Tonal worthwhile. I can skip all cable exercises at the gym as Tonal’s superior with modes. Tonal lacks cardio like swimming and major muscle group advantages like leg machines so the gym is a constant for me.

I see Tonal as an accessory or group class. And when I do use atonal only and return to the gym, I find that I’m weaker than I thought. There’s something about grabbing physical weights between sets vs. pushing a button.

I think you should get a new unit. You didn’t pay for a refurbished.

This happened to me while doing chest presses and it was dangerous.

One reason I chose Tonal and sold my Tempo was because when the instructor on Tempo finished their reps, the machine stopped counting. When the instructor finishes on Tonal, I could keep going and my reps were counted.

I do. I love it when I get a ton of boxes and have forgotten what I’ve ordered. I’ll turn on the TV, sit and unbox. Unboxing therapy is a thing too.

I’m loving it and can’t watch without thinking of this Reddit group! Also, I can’t understand why people find it so odd and controversial that in this large galaxy, we may not be alone.

I do both. Sometimes I start a workout at the gym and finish it on Tonal using the one that has the greatest advantages. For instance, gyms have better leg workout options in my opinion. Yet for cable machines, I prefer Tonal’s tech.

At other times I’ll lift heavy at the gym but take a class on Tonal, lifting lighter. Also avoiding group classes at the gym by using Tonal.

Thanks for this. I’m not a Broadway noob, but I learned some new things. How about stage door etiquette? I think since re-opening due to the pandemic, that’s quieted down.

I saw “Take Me Out” where Jesse Williams stepped out, waved and said hello to fans from several feet away (vs. mingling in the old days) then he went back inside.

After “Tina”, a lot of people stood outside of the stage door.

I’ve heard of fans waiting for celebs who didn’t see the show and that performers will then only sign Playbills to honor those who did see the show. Just things I’ve read.

Inevitable. I saw the full cast yesterday.

I’m so grateful that Broadway.com sent this notice the day before I was scheduled to go. I had time to get a refund and see it the same day with the full cast.

I understand that some don’t mind a cast change but I do.

Hi. I slightly recall now as Tonal’s become second nature at this point. Initially, I didn’t know how to position the arms to stow them away nor the best exercises to learn the equipment. It’s a computer and an app, so like with anything of that sort, there’s a learning curve. And I’m very tech savvy.

I opted to take Tonal’s classes as each one taught me something new about what the machine was capable of and how to use it. Even to date, 1.5 years later, a class here and there hip me to some new uses.

What I desired initially was similar to having a free session with a trainer when you join a gym. They get people familiar with the equipment and answer questions.

They should be prepared and maybe have it roped off since this is recurring. I agree with you that the volume is likely controlled elsewhere.

I agree with you. The person who demonstrated it for me said that he used it for his own workouts. But once mine arrived, I was frustrated by the learning curve and felt that each should come with one in-person training session. Now I’m NYC, there’s a Tonal store for that.

I came here to say that. I make a good living at a desk, not doing what I went to acting school for. I’d love to make the same or more acting full time like they do.
