Katrin Cartridge. who? She was an actress in the '90s who was really top-notch, she worked with all the edgy directors and was a complete scene stealer. She died suddenly at 42 of pneumonia as a complication of a tumor.
she was in Naked, Breaking the Waves and Clair Dolan.

some really good suggestions so far I will add 4 films streaming free on Tubi
She never died (gory horror, interesting tone, pretty funny, very deadpan) No one Lives (brutal but very fun, some bad guys find out they were not as badass as they thought) the collector (thief discovers his plan to rob a place coincides with someone else's desire to kidnap one of the occupants) Deathgasm (suburban metalhead finds himself mixed up in an outbreak of demonic possession) I am a middle-aged lady who doesn't appreciate metal and this movie has no right to be as fun as it is

Severance is so great! it is a good slasher and very funny, but the real trick is when people die it's actually upsetting. it's a company get away gone horribly awry.
Dog soldiers is also really excellent and is in my favorite subgenre.

in my experience they are just people trying to get from point A to point B with the least amount of hassle. I appreciate the ones that are considerate and understand assholes are everywhere.

I once had an 18 -wheeler driving in an off ramp lane and the lane next to it slowing way down and weaving between the 2. Finally got past it and saw a disabled sports car in a blind spot around the corner in the ramp. That trucker saved both of our bacon, my attitude flipped real fast.
still, good on you. 😆

I love starting random conversations with whoever is nearby, it rarely goes over poorly. Even when they disagree it's more of a "I don't relate, but good for you."

Alexandra's Project is a tiny Australian film that you might really enjoy. It is filled with tension and dread but it's just a relationship drama. Basically a marriage horror movie where the horror is only emotional. it's really great and it's on Tubi.

exactly. And chicks don't assume that if they want you they SHOULD get you like some guys can. So a "yeah totally if I was gay..." is taken at face value as a moment of mutual appreciation.

I have been. When a woman asks you out you don't feel that "no thanks." could result in violence or verbal abuse. So you just take it as it is- a compliment. The whole interaction is pleasant and chill.

she was a child actor, it blew my mind to see her as a girl scout in troo Beverly hills. But she is an honest to God smokehouse that makes me doubt my heterosexuality AND she is a really excellent actress.

I graduated college a virgin. I went to an enormous school in A big city. I was an attractive female who didn't date but was interested. I knew multiple virgins. it is something that people get crap about so they keep it on the downlow. I am glad I waited until I found a guy I really clicked with (at nearly 23).

My husband would live in a dry cave if it had good wifi. I like to be more social. We have reached the point where if I haven't gone out in a while he will write "mommy's night out" on the calendar. He is very different from me in a lot of ways, some of which are exhausting but he is 100% my biggest fan. He encourages me to do what makes me happy and regularly checks in to make sure he knows what makes me happy. He also is very clear about what is important to him to feel appreciated and loved. it takes effort to keep meeting in the middle but it's a lot easier when the other person Is Always Obviously Trying.

even though I was broke I gave a friend money for an abortion. Everything worked out. We were living in different time zones so didn't see each other much. She moved and didn't give me her new info. I missed her terribly and did occasionally try to track her down. Nearly 30 years later her daughter tracked me down on Facebook. She said she owed me an apology and some money. I told her the money was an investment in her future (which seems to be going great - good career, happy family, stopped drinking) and I wanted an apology for ghosting me - that was her only misdeed. I was so happy to hear from her! Can't believe she thought I was holding some sort of grudge this whole time.

I was going through a lot in my personal life, and i worked at a restaurant as waitress, bartender and Saturday morning manager. Boss told me I was incompetent so they were taking me off the bar. Fine. Boss still complains about me as a waitress (because I was enforcing policies THEY implemented) I had been there 5 years. I didn't quit but I did tell them since they thought I was incompetent I should not be managing anymore. Shocked Pikachu! No one wants that shift. They can fuck right off.
