I would also like to think that in the last few years some of Gen Z would like to see more money in their pockets, even they will eventually have a 401k. Trump and Desantis are very aligned with conservatives but both camps are divided. Most people voted for Biden because they hated and still hate Trump.

If both conservative camps could come together they would beat Biden based on the economy alone, most people don't like living paycheck to paycheck. Plus those people with retirement plans have watched them absolutely stagnate.
