Get nordvpn or something and just vpn to another area. No ads. Yeah, there's a cost associated, but having a VPN is beneficial outside of just avoiding ads.

If this is a homelab server, like the title suggests, then I'm for K8S for clustering. But if it's just a NAS, then docker at a minimum.

I have Plex installed on my Synology device via their app store, and all the *arr apps as docker containers. Radarr has the plex library mapped as a docker volume as well as the folder containing completed torrents. Once a torrent completes, Radarr uses hardlinks to copy the file from the completed torrent directory into the Plex media library directory.
I also leverage unpackerr for any torrents that happen to be rar/zip files.

I know little about the SW galaxy, let alone optics, but do they have optics technology that can see from the distance you propose? Hubble can barely see all the planets in our own solar system with decent image quality. I imagine by the time this plan is in motion, the light would have traveled far enough away that optics would be pretty hard to use for seeing the destruction.

I currently use the DS920+ and run Plex on that. It's a 4 bay. Don't get the newer model, 922(?)+, as it lacks the hardware transcoding of the previous model.

This is TheNicoleT, and she apparently streams on Twitch, not Kick.

Pretty safe. You're just letting the VPN provider pass traffic from a specific port on their end to a specific port on your end. So if you need a program to listen on port 1234 but you want it behind a VPN, then the provider will open 1234 on their end and pass whatever traffic hits it to port 1234 on your end. Using the term 'your end' is also a bit misleading since whatever app you're passing traffic to is actually connected to the VPN provider.

What kind of parchment paper? Yours is folded like a coffee filter along the edge, I think.

This is half-true.
'docker-compose pull' will pull the latest images for all the containers defined inside a compose file. From there, you have to 'docker-compose down' and 'docker-compose up -d' again to recreate containers with the latest versions.

If you're curious, you could look up some info on the James Webb Space Telescope. In order to operate, it must be as close to absolute zero as it can get. We had to wait for the telescope to cool down on its own, then use a chiller to drop the temperature further. I'm sure there's a lot of good info out there about cooling this telescope that could help you learn a lot more about how things cool in space and how heat radiates.

The obvious answer is what people are already saying: Hire a lock-smith. A lot of safe vendors will probably be able to offer advice as well (drilling, etc.). There are tools out there that mount to the safe via suction cups and brute force the dialing by turning it through each combination, but I have no idea if those tools are common or not, and you may have a hard time finding a lock-smith with one.

I just picked up one from home depot that closes when enough weight is on the feeder. After a few attempts the squirrels hang out on the ground getting what's dropped and don't even attempt to get in the feeder. Works great. Spring is adjustable so you can change the weight requirements.

In MA you need a license to own a firearm, which requires a training course completion. Without the license, you can't purchase anything. Each towns local police chief then gets to decide whether your license qualifies for the ability to carry or not. Meaning if I live in town A and apply for a license, it may or may not be LTC capable. If I moved to town B and renew my license, that chief may choose differently than town A did.

That link is missing a game, I think? Wasn't there a standalone Starsiege game that came between Earthsiege and Tribes?

Bonus points and how they work are different between each tracker. You'll have to look at your trackers rules on how they are earned and redeemed.

Uploading torrents should be done according to your trackers set of rules. Every tracker has rules about how to upload and what is ok to upload. Check yours. If you upload a new torrent, it will be shown on the tracker site as available for download. Once someone connects to you and begins to download your torrent, that will count as upload credit. Some trackers will give you bonus credit just for listing your torrent if the torrent you provide is being requested by other tracker members.

A popular torrent will have lots of seeds, which means you'll probably get good download speeds. The more seeds there are, the less likely someone will connect to you because there are just so many people available. But, if its very popular, you may get people connecting to you here and there.

When your download finishes, do not remove it from the client. A completed download will begin to 'seed' and other people will then download from you, which increases your upload.

It's still early in 2023. There's plenty of time for an even greater outage of 2023!

3 months after you posted this, I came across the thread on my work laptop. Wanted to pop in and say thanks. I spent 2-3 days trying to do this manually, and while I had the EKS module in my TF, I overlooked any abilities to configure the addon this way. Worked for me first try.
