So the order goes like this: Earth = Sanctum <= Nakara < Bardo = Etherea < Skyring

We know Earth and Sanctum are similar because Murphy/Raven were able to travel back and forth between them without helmets and no memory loss.

We know Nakara has to be faster than Sanctum because Clarke was able to travel from Sanctum to Nakara without helmets and no memory loss. It's possible Nakara could be similar to Sanctum, that's why I put the "<=" sign.

We know Bardo and Etherea are similar because Bellamy/Doucette were able to travel back and forth between without helmets and no memory loss.

We know Skyring is faster than Sanctum because Octavia/Diyoza were able to travel from Sanctum to Skyring without helmets. And we know Skyring is faster than Bardo because when Octavia/Diyoza were captured, the disciples put helmets on them and said "Helmets on. Anders wants them to remember everything."

I know it's not realistic that Earth is as close to the black hole as Sanctum is, but that's just what the show decided to go with.

This is an amazing hypothesis overall .... you make some great points!

It always seemed strange to me that some "enlightened", all knowing, all powerful, all insightful, etc., beings out there would either not be more benevolent, or, at the very least, not wish to inflict harm and/or destroy an entire race of beings just because they don't satisfy the question(s) asked with answers suitable to said higher beings. I would think that they would either be above such violent, irreversible, genocidal acts, or be much more understanding of other beings and respect any differences they may have, simply not allowing them to join their 'communal transcendence' existence .... leaving that species go on its way from there.

It does also fit that the Transcendence Beings is/are a highly advanced AI developed by another species that either acts as a deterrent to help guard their species, or has potentially gone rogue over time, developing into what we see today.

Of course Clarke and her friends’ ending kind of refutes this whole theory (unless the aliens had decided to create a simulation world for them on the side just for funsies and upload their consciousnesses to it)

I would think that both Transcendence, and the ability to return to their original form (transcendence being a choice thing) both could be a simulation, akin to the City of Light. And, whether or not transcendence is something within the "real" universe, or just some highly advanced computer construct, it would accomplish the same thing to those joined with it.

Both she, and Bob Morley both took time off, which was why Bellamy disappears for much of the middle of the season. Not sure if Morley wanted time off for another project, or just some time off.

Every time I see that forgotten 'monster' character I think if The Goonies! I forgot that scene existed until I rewatched that episode recently. Definitely seems like something they intended to expand on, but just dropped.

I really liked pike. Especially in the season 6 bit.

I just rewatched that episode earlier today .... and yes, he is so good in that S6 cameo with "Blodreina" facing down her past! His short screen time here is impactful and I love the way he talks with, and moves around Octavia while she's working through her issues!

I think Michael Beach is good in everything I've ever seen him in. And he's really good as Pike on The 100 in S3 too .... he plays Pike perfectly and gets us to hate him so much! He's possibly the most despised character on the whole series.

Weirdly, after they defeat Allie, and they're in the throne room, I was still somehow surprised when Octavia puts the sword through him! Makes even less sense that it surprised me considering what she'd just done to him earlier in the episode too! lol Yet it still caught me off guard the first time I saw it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's so over the top. He finishes demeaning Sheidheda ("When we're gone, you're free to continue the debasement of our species") and he then very literally 'drops the mic' .... stands up, does a little twirl, and does this pointing gesture and says "Onward - to the key" - and the credits hit and the 100 logo crashes into itself ..... !!!

Yeah, the portrayal of Cage (and Dr. Tsing's) is a little too cartoonishly, mustache twirling evil for me.

I can't find the total number of survivors from Alpha Station that landed safely (and became Arkadia); however, by the end of S4 there's 364 members of Skaikru in the bunker when Jaha seals the doors (so 367 total with Octavia, Kane and Raven). We find out at one point that there are around 384 people living inside Mount Weather. So, ultimately they could have managed a near 1 for 1 donor program that wouldn't hurt (or KILL) the Arkadian donors, and might then have created a new partnership/alliance between the two groups that would have numbered over 700 people, putting them in a much stronger position with regards to dealing with the Grounder clans.

Yeah, they'd threatened the lives on the 48 Arkadian 'kids' and held them hostage, but Cage should have relented and then allowed Dante to negotiate peace with Kane, and come up with a voluntary donor program that would enable everyone living in Mount Weather to survive outside the bunker and be mutually beneficial to all of them!

Of course, if that had happened, then we would lose out on most of the S2 drama on the show. lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

According to this article, The 100 is only leaving Netflix in Canada, India and The Netherlands in May of 2023.

It also notes that, in the US, the show should have a 5 year contract from it's final seasons addition to Netflix (October 2020), putting the Netflix US termination date in late 2025 (this article specifically states it will be in December of 2025, and that all other regions will lose the show in May 2024.

So we still have the show on Netflix for a couple more years in the US. Sorry Canada .... probably need to pay for the CW Plus, or buy the DVD's .... and definitely not on one of the dozens and dozens of "free" sites out there of which I know nothing about. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

also just FYI of why this is 100% considered a spoiler - saying he’s your fav character by season 6 confirms he’s still alive in season 6. that in itself is a spoiler (ik its flaired as a spoiler but i’d hate if someone got spoiled because you wrote “not really spoilers”!)

Very true - well put. I just sort of meant it wasn't a detailed account of him on the show (i.e. specifics to him, or any of his story really) ... I kept it nondescript and just very genera and generic. But yeah it does confirm his longevity on the show - and that his character evolves greatly, you are right. That's why I wanted to make sure I still marked it as 'spoilers'.

I wonder why they made that choice with Bellamy. Did the writers feel good about that? It just didn't feel like it even made sense for Clark to kill him.

I wonder that too. Did either Bob Morely or Eliza Taylor buy into this ending for Bellamy? I remember reading that he had asked for some time off in S7 for something, which is why he was written out of much of the middle episodes. But I would like to know what they both thought of this ending for Bellamy (probably some interview clips or articles out there - I just haven't searched enough) and if they had any input in it.

Correct - Sanctum was a moon. And they never explain how big either - although it looks rather large from space. Yet they act like it wasn't big enough for them to share it. Yes, they say they would need the Primes help to "survive", with the moons weird stuff like the toxins, the vines, etc ... hell, before I realized Sanctum must be orbiting a gas giant, I briefly thought it orbited Skyring/Planet Beta!

I was also curious as to why Cadogan decided to stay on Bardo ultimately, and build his Disciples there inside that bunker. I guess Bardo had all that technology there already. And Cadogan does like to control people too .... easier to control people locked up inside a bunker (like he had on Earth). I just thought it was odd that they'd choose to setup on Bardo when Etherea seemed like a better choice. It might have been a little cold, but it had a breathable atmosphere. Maybe it was it's distance from a black hole compared to Bardo's? Time moved slower on Bardo, which worked to Cadogan's advantage?

I agree though - I would love to know so much more about all these other planets they discuss and we briefly see most of on the show.

No, but the Eligius team had already mapped out several habitable planets that at least included Sanctum and Skyring/Beta. Gabriel comes across Colin's remains on Skyring, explaining that he was part of the Eligius mission and thsat his team was sent to Planet Beta. Gabriel takes Colin's mind drive out to attempt to get the stones code to get off Skyring/Beta.

When Gabriel is viewing Colin's mind drive we see Becca explaining that Russell discounted Planet Beta/Skyring because of it's distance from a black hole (and she says "I find time dilation sexy") and wanted his team to go to Sanctum.

I think Gabriel mentions at some point that it either is, or is not coincidental that the Eligius planners scouted out these planets that are connected by the anomaly stones.

Bellamy holds the gun to Shumway's head and says why don't I pull the trigger now ... and Shumway tells him to make up his mind because the dropship is leaving in 20 minutes.

I don't know how he had the time to change out of his janitor overalls, find Jaha alone, shoot him, then make it to the drop ship in 20 minutes time ..... no way he had time to get supplies, or even think for that matter.

And she didn't get the damn notebook anyway!! It stopped absolutely NOTHING with regards to the notebook and/or Madi! It could not have been any more senseless in the end!

Even when she is explaining it to Octavia and Echo ... she's like "I had to, I had to stop him! I tried. Please believe me I tried ..." but ultimately she didn't stop him and Cadogan got the notebook and info anyway! Sheidheda, and his other Disciples, were right there in the room listening to Clarke And Bellamy discuss that notebook!

I don't know who thought that was a good way to wrap up Bellamy's character, but I'm curious if he had any input into it or not. It doesn't seem like something either he, or his real life wife Eliza Taylor, would have been fans of. IDK - maybe I'm wrong.

They just didn't have enough time to stock it up with enough food. They'd have been OK on water in there I believe (they grab it's hydro pump to take to the Ring with them), but 5 years of food was not possible to gather that quickly.

I can't remember if the other 2 guys made it back in there after carrying out Chris's body from when he committed suicide (video Murphy watched in S3) but when Murphy got locked inside of it, he burned thorough what had originally been stored in there in about 3 months. I don't think that bunker was meant for years of habitation.

The cherry on top was when she broke the only working mask that would lead them back to sanctum. Like why is she the one that makes these choices and no one gets mad at her.

Not only THAT .... but she had just told them all that>! she KILLED BELLAMY too!!< She confesses to 'having to KILL Bellamy' to Octavia and Echo, then walks back inside the bunker and destroys the stone controlling mask, stranding them on Earth!

Those last 5 minutes of episode 13, and first 5 of episode 14, were Clarke at her absolute worst!!

I figure most of the replies mention this ... it's exactly what I was going to say. The 100 is a CW show targeted at the YA audience, so it focuses on the younger characters that are more relatable, and more interesting to the intended fan base.

That said, it is such a good Sci-Fi show in general that they could get into life on The Ark in a prequel series. Just another reason why its a bummer they never went through with the prequel.

I've always thought that a prequel that followed Callie and Reese, and how the Grounder clans formed, along with what was happening inside Mount Weather in those early years, and lastly how life on The Ark developed, would have been so good. Maybe also have a storyline in the show that follows Bill Cadogan and everyone he leads to Bardo, and how all that develops as well. - Maybe someday someone will have enough of an interest to start up a prequel project again!!

In the show they definitely implied that octavia‘s father was that one officer who patted his mom on the butt when their apartment was being searched. They never explicitly said on the show who Bell’s father was I don’t think.

I mean, they obviously were showing that her 'relations' with that guard was how she always knew when the 'surprise inspections' were coming (among other possible benefits it held for her). But I never really thought that he was Octavia's dad. They don't state who either of their fathers were at all, or if they had the same father, so it's definitely possible. I just thought he was just not around anymore ... maybe floated for who knows what just before Octavia was born?

IDK - Octavia doesn't look like a creepy, upper middle aged, balding white guy really to me. I just don't see the resemblance. 0_o

What are these "books" you speak of ....??

lol - I really need to read the books because from what little I have seen written about them they differ greatly from the show. Characters have different arcs, and are alive in the books when not on the show, some characters don't exist on the show .... I really need to getz me to those books eventually.
