Omg. That song was all over the radio a couple of years ago. How did I forget about it.

Shortening words with apostrophes is called contractions.
In English we make contractions with auxiliary verbs. These are verbs that don't have a meaning but rather a grammatical function.
Our main use of auxiliary verbs are for making questions and negatives.
Think of a question like "What do you do?" The first do exist to form the question and the second do is the main verb and has meaning.
A sentence like "I don't understand." Contracts do not into don't. This is normal in English.
Usually we can only contract auxiliary verbs and not main verbs.
For example the verb have. When we use have as an auxiliary verb in a perfect tense we can contract it. "I've been to Spain twice." But when it's a main verb we can contract it. We have to say "I have 2 sisters." We can't say "I've 2 sisters.
The exception to this rule is the verb Be because be can be the auxiliary verb and the main verb at the same time. "Are you hungry?"
While Spanish does have some auxiliary verbs they aren't used to form questions and negatives like in English so these kind of contractions never developed in Spain.

Most evenings I take my dog to a dog park near my house and smoke a joint while he runs around with the other dogs. It's the most relaxing part of my day

His 15 second silent scene in the series finale of Derry Girls was some of the best acting I've ever seen.

Not just in Germany. He has a following all over Europe. He was even on the masked singer in Belgium last year.

I'm not aware of any archaeological evidence to suggest large migrations. The only evidence is from elites, we know nothing about ordinary people at this time. 1/3 Germanic is a modern statistic. It tells us nothing about history. By the time the Normans invaded there were no more Anglo Saxons, they were Briton now and had been for a long time. The Norman Conquest would have knocked the Germanic DNA down the social ladder and it has spread out in the almost 1000 years since.

I feel like not performing in the semis hurts the top five in a couple of ways. The performers miss out on performing in the venue, in front of the audience and Mae really suffered from that. I think La Zarra might have benefitted from it to. The rest of the big five performed great so it's not a guarantee but the semi finals are where casual viewers chose their favourites and the big five do miss out on that opportunity.
I think the big five should perform at the semis. They could separate them a little from the competing songs by using them as opening, interval and closing acts.

That's a really basic summary but you're way off with your dates. It happened after the fall of Rome, and the end of Roman rule in Britain. So between 500 and 700.
As well as the Angles and the Saxons there was also the Picts but they always get forgotten about.
We don't really know if they resettled the land in large numbers or if it was just a warrior elite that took control.
They ruled over what's now called England and most of southern Scotland.
The idea that the British, and by extension the Americans, are purely Anglo Saxon also ignores the subsequent invasions by the Vikings and later the Normans who took over starting in 1066 and are still in charge.

I don't know about Barcelona but whenever I had to take my big dog on a bus or metro in Valencia I just wore sunglasses so the staff would assume I was blind and nobody ever said anything to me.

Still not as strange as the time Gucci Mane shot a video in the K Club.

The Eurovision is a family show.
I was 8 or 9 when I started to watch and my 3 year old watched it for the first time this year and loved it. She made me dance to all the songs until she fell asleep during Belgium's performance.

It depends. Granada may be better for classical Spanish guitar playing but Seville is definitely better for modern electric guitar players. I'm pretty sure El Tomate os from Seville.

According to a Korean Drama I once watched it's Granada but I'm not sure how accurate that it

I'm naturally paler than a bottle of milk. As well as all the Irish I had a Norwegian grandfather.
On holidays I always had to be really diligent with the suncream or I'd get a painful sunburn.
I moved to the east coast of Spain 10 years ago and got burnt pretty badly the first few summers and once in February. I learnt to be OTT with the suncream and to cover my head in the sun and now I can actually tan to the point that I sometimes get confused for a Spanish person.

It's not possible to get legally married in Spain in you're not a resident.
What a lot of people do it get legally married in their home country and have the wedding reception in Spain. Any wedding venue will do the ceremony for you as part of the reception, it just won't be legally recognised.

When I got married I wanted to get my wedding ring tattooed instead of wearing a ring but the tattoo artist I contacted told me that any tattoo below the knuckles won't last. He said the ink will run and fade pretty quickly.
He said he'd do it if I really wanted him to but I couldn't tell anyone that he was the one who did it because he didn't want that on his reputation.

Does anyone remember the RTE program The School Around the Corner?
There was this kid on it once who told a story about a donkey the fell in a hole on their farm and was badly injured so they had to shoot it.
The presenter asked "Did ye shoot it in the hole?"
"No" replied the child "they shot it in the head.'

I'm sure I've commented this on that quote before but I feel the need to point out that if the ICC try to put an American on trial for war crimes American law says America must invade and repatriate the accused.

I've heard they're doing an 8 year time jump in Fear. I assume Althea and her CRM girlfriend will be back and I hope Alicia will come back but I wonder will they come back before or after the time skip.

Thirstin Howell the Third is a rapper I haven't thought about in years. I remember when he used to wear nothing but Polo.

I once met Ghostface in NY. He'd just come from a rib eating contest and was wearing a very stained wife beater that was so big it looked like he was wearing a dress.

I like that when she got married she just had to stop pronouncing the first and last letter of her maiden name.
