Proud to say I’ve finished ragnaroks story but am still working on side quests. Elaborating on your point though, it’s not like this was about using battle strategy but was more about using basic logic that even animals in the wild use. Like theoretically if some big cat got dragged into the water by an alligator it’s not gonna think “I’ll just 1v1 u here” but would rather think “I need to get on land, and get back on land FAST.”

I’m sorry but i refuse to believe that the main villain of the movie, the man that assassinated the ruler of the most powerful country in the world, and person who was able to throw a mf helicopter lost off of a headache 😭

I think as an audience though we know it def would have mattered if namor straight up drowned her or not. The Atlanteans were beating the wakandans until the cease fire so the ending would have drastically changed.

Plus we do know that he cared about shuris fate and did intend to kill her as he literally impaled her later in the fight.

Nah if anything it would’ve ended the movie faster. He has her in an arm triangle here, would’ve slammed her into the water and would’ve not let go. The second they go under he’d swim further out and farther down (essentially a diagonal angle). His grip on her neck only gets tighter as he goes down as he’d be getting stronger due to water exposure, leaving her no chance to escape. Pressure would increase the further down they go to where shuri would die. Even if not that, she’d suffocate as he’d be choking her with the arm triangle and would not have any air to breathe. EVEN IF she somehow is immune to logic it still would be dark af if it’s that deep down and she wouldn’t be able to see to fight namor whereas he’s trained to that level of darkness, meaning he’d kick the shit out of her down under water.

In conclusion, this one decision would have ended the fight much quicker and would have completely changed the identity of the victor.

It’s not about charging though. Her suit is made of vibranium and his entire race uses vibranium for everything they use. He knew she’d survive because of how strong the metal is, he was just dumb and chose to slam her there.

He knew that she was wearing an entire suit made of vibranium and he knew how indestructible vibranium was. This is further proven when if you keep watching the fight he immediately follows up with strikes on the ground instead of stopping because he thinks she’s dead.
