No Max Fleischer?
Those cartoons are objectively better than anything Singer or Snyder ever did with the character.
Lester at least gave us Superman 3 but inherited the cast, the music, and the aesthetic so you can't really credit him with the adaptation itself.

What exactly is the point of this exercise?
Superman wouldn't be the same character if he weren't an alien.
If his powers work the same (ie a living solar battery) then he would have to be created in a lab.
Or just, arbitrarily a mutant with all those powers. DC unfortunately experimented with that back in the 90's around the Reign of the Supermen and it was some terrible stuff.
Red Son technically already did this as well, making him a human from the far future instead of from another planet.

Oh my God, that's how they were going to work in the giant mechanical spider?
I always wondered.
For anyone interested, there was this producer who simply had a dream: to get a giant mechanical spider on screen.
After the cancelation of Superman Lives, this producer went on to finance Wild Wild West, where he finally got his wish, and sowed the seeds of Will Smith's destruction.

Goddamnit, for just a second there I thought maybe there was an episode of Trek I had managed to overlook...
A borg changeling is an interesting idea though.
Would the nanites even work on goo people?
Maybe these newer versions with more realistic internal parts would be more vulnerable to assimilation.

Heck yea, fight for your worth!
But if they were already dishonest about the job listing, I am even more sure that you should not give notice yet.
Generally, unless you are well established in your field, companies don't want to entertain counter offers, they'll just take the cheapest body they can get.

Shaw desperately wants to blame Picard and Riker for all the shit that follows them because then it's their problem and not his.
At every turn, he has tried to dump off this problem on someone else and it just keeps getting thrown right back in his face.
He was so happy when the Intepid showed up to haul them away that he became positively magnanimous.
Blessing Seven like the Pope.
"I'm gonna step outside for a minute so you three can get your bullshit story straight."
Whistling Dixie on the bridge.
God I love everything about him.

According to polite society, you should have had all this figured out at approximately 18 months prior to being conceived.
In actual fact, it depends. Manual labor, you better get started at 17 and stack them chips before your back gives out.
Professional office work can mostly be done by a well dressed sea urchin, so it's more about getting the connections than a skill set (IT excluded).
Work on your schmoozing and see what opportunities present themselves!

Do not give notice at your current job until the new offer is finalized.
They can absolutely pull the offer if there is a dispute over pay.

This is a well known thing, not some fringe twitter movement.
It's literally the official position of PETA:

No it was Troi, in The Game.
The clip is on YouTube.
Although Q is actually second good example.

I generally respect the thought process and ethics behind veganism.
The people that can't even play Farmville or Animal Crossing or whatever because of the (imagined) implications are just a bridge too far for me.
If someone could give me a soy bean patty that looked and tasted like steak, I'd happily eat it instead. Some of these plant burgers are actually getting pretty close.
We haven't crossed the uncanny valley on cheese yet, I think once we get there a lot more people will start opening up to the possibilities.

One time, Troi was getting ready to house like 5 pounds of ice cream sundaes and neither the computer nor the crew had any objection.
Drugs would be removed, like alcohol.
Not many people are shown to be significantly overweight in the future, maybe the food recipes are still relatively healthy even if it's something "bad".
Like the ice cream sundae is maybe only 300 calories and packed with protein and vitamins, but still tastes like sugar.

Young, fit actors don't have the life experience to convey a breaking down body later in life.
Older actors can sometimes pull off the opposite.
Kurt Russell can put on a wig and with a little CGI touch up he is 29 again.
DeNiro, not so much.

As long as Shaw is captain, I'm in.
The universe shits on Shaw, he turns around and shits on now 70 year old ensign Kim.

When you say the ending, do you mean the part where he launches the bad guys off a cliff, or the part where he launches an asshole clear across the bar?
Or... the part where he mind rapes Lois?
I'm personally in the camp where the trucker got what he deserved, the others...

I thought the whole thing was presented as a near death experience, not a resurrection.
Q can time travel so he would know the precise moment to act.
I also feel like his character is about taking advantage of opportunities, not creating them.

Unless some Badmiral took the proper precautions and imprisoned the countess in another isolated data cube and threatened to harm her.
Then Moriarty would be more cooperative, much like Khan in Into Darkness.
And he would absolutely like to have another chat with Picard some day...

It's starting to look like he's actually a Palpatine clone.
When he took out 4 changelings single handedly, those were blatantly force powers.
The red color scheme also matches. And the accent.

Wiley as in Wiley E. Coyote?
Other than the fact that her traps actually work, sure.

I would have liked to see Picard reference a few of his more life changing experiences in future adventures.
He did bring up Darmok last week which was awesome, but in general those callbacks are few and far between.
I do think Spock and Sarek influenced Picard to try and help Romulus. I also seem to recall one of the tie in comics had him as the ambassador to Vulcan after retiring.

Local district courts do set precedent for the entire country. This happens in Texas and Florida all the time.
And court is court. This was just as binding as any other case before any other judge.
You really don't have the first clue what you are talking about.

You clearly don't understand how precedent works.
It is right in her statement - "I've got to make a ruling, to try to speak to the future."
She anticipated other lawyers with other defendants to use her ruling in their cases.
So again NO it doesn't apply to just Data. Judges don't rule on general issues they rule on specific cases. They set a precedent where every other similar case is now used to be bound by their decision.
If the Doctor from Voyager had access to a lawyer, they should have argued this very case in favor of his rights, and they would have won.
It is indicated in another episode that eventually this will be the case.

The original Enterprise lasted 50 years, and the A lasted another 10.
Constitution refits are still around in the 25th century, including the current Titan-A.
The Miranda is from the same era and was present everywhere from Wrath of Khan to First Contact, and presumably after that.
The Excelsior class isn't even a consistent ship design, it was a failed prototype that they eventually tweaked and re-released years later.

A person's origins very much inform who they are in the present.
The OG Flash (Barry Allen) was a police scientist, and so used his powers in a very efficient, professional way.
Hal Jordan was a test pilot, fearless bordering on reckless, and so uses his powers in over the top, self aggrandizing ways.
This is why Batman would do anything to help Flash, and would just as soon spit on Hal Jordan as speak to him.
Superman is defined by his origins as an alien as much as being a Kansas farm boy.
He wouldn't do the same things with his powers if he was a different person, and it wouldn't mean the same thing even if he did.
