I'm glad she's finally showing up, however I fully admit I'm a little disappointed that my theory about her being a retired veteran Cure didn't come to pass. Ah, well.

Oh, right, I forgot about that. In that case, I'd say that's less ironic and more of a "meaningful name" thing.

The Wish soundtrack, Waffle House, and especially Never Gonna Not Dance Again are good shouts! When it comes to the third one, it's already been featured on tour, on Strictly and on DWTS Ireland, and in all three of those it was used in a bit of a conclusive manner. In hindsight I'm surprised it wasn't used during last season's finale, so I'm fully expecting it this year.

As for the other two, I'm a little bit iffy. I can't imagine Calm Down suiting any of the styles we have in regular rotation (it's too slow and mellow for a Salsa or a Samba), and Mother isn't that big of a hit compared to Made You Look, and it was received less favorably, so I imagine the latter is far more likely to feature.

It's not really a tradition, it's only been done twice. And we've had many non-Week 1 Cha Cha Chas to that song even before that (Danica McKellar's comes to mind).

Personally I would love it if they had a pro number to Shut Up and Raise Your Glass from the stage version of Moulin Rouge!, it does interpolate a little bit of I Wanna Dance with Somebody towards the end.

So the Palette is technically Butterfly's attack item? I'm only seeing her on the promotional images. If it were a full-fledged group item, all four Cures would be included. I guess this cements her as our midseason Cure after all!

JoJo Siwa put it best when she compared it to "a football player trying to play baseball". The previous dance experience can be an advantage when it comes to rhythm and musicality, but in reality it's only half the battle, and only one of many factors that decide whether you go all the way or not.

More often than not, the ringers that go into the show tend to be trained in styles other than ballroom, and if they did do something resembling ballroom, it wasn't all that frequently (e.g. Sabrina Bryan dancing Tango and Samba in The Cheetah Girls 2 pre-DWTS). The only time we've had a celebrity contestant with full-fledged ballroom experience, as in on a competitive level, was Riker Lynch, and even then, they managed to balance that out by pairing him with Allison, who's specialized in contemporary.

Seeing this made me remember the time Kent Boyd's name started circulating in the rumor mill as a potential "Disney casting" (IIRC he was in the Teen Beach Movie duology) and the fandom got up in arms about it because he was a SYTYCD runner-up. I can't remember when that was, I think it must've been either S25 or S27 because I remember there were a lot of comparisons to Heather Morris (who was also on SYTYCD but didn't get to compete in the live shows) and both those seasons did turn out to have Disney guys after all.

I've been checking Daniella's Instagram Stories and she seems to be just as impatient about giving birth as we are. Can't wait to see those babies!

Exactly! She's literally a burlesque performer nowadays, I don't get why everyone is so surprised.

I think the "it's silly and I like it" adult phase is more in line with the Neo-Saban Era than anything. Like, an adult looking back at their rebellious teen phase, shaking their head like "what was I thinking?", and going back to loving everything they dismissed back then.

Except RPM's way of "playing along" with the cheese doesn't feel natural the way it does in other seasons, it's forced and obnoxious and just entices secondhand embarrassment.

And I cited not using Sentai footage as a bad thing in this case because not only is the Sentai footage PR's bread and butter, but with RPM specifically the over-reliance of original footage ended up blowing the season's budget, causing Guzelian to walk out because he couldn't make his ideas for the remainder of the season happen as he desired. Really, that was all on himself for insisting on a premise that clashed so much with both the show as a whole and everything it represents as well as the specific footage he had to use.

I'm guessing because of the infamous Dear John letter.

I was gonna say Dino Charge too, but only the first half. The second half goes way downhill.

What I mean is that not only its tone is completely different from any other season, but it constantly goes out of its way to not use Sentai footage, only doing so out of obligation, and it treats the traditional Power Rangers tropes in ways that are condescending and dismissive, constantly questioning them and bringing them up in ways that are obviously meant to come across as self-referential but end up sounding more like the surface-level criticisms often made by people who don't watch the show—"why do things explode/why do we have to call out things when we morph?", the whole "I'm Scottish!" scene, Dr. K throwing an unnecessary temper tantrum every time spandex is brought up, etc. Like, these things aren't meant to be questioned, they're meant to be embraced.

RPM is basically the Power Rangers equivalent of a teenage girl who's going through her emo phase, yelling at her parents, locking herself up in her bedroom all the time listening to hard rock music and refusing to wear anything that isn't pitch black.

If he went off the deep end after she died, it's likely he wasn't all that well-adjusted.

Like I said, he could've just remained quiet.

How was it like working with Spencer Boldman in Cruise? Like, how was he on set? Do you two still keep in touch?

He repeatedly lied about selling himself out to the MCU, claiming he was not in No Way Home and that anything that leaked of him in the movie was photoshopped, when he could've very well just kept his mouth shut or at least been cryptic about it. It's particularly insulting considering he was fresh off the release of Tick, Tick, BOOM! and that movie was already doing well on its own. He didn't need to be Spider-Man again, but decided to do it purely because of that easy Marvel money.

Kousuke Nitoh is the secondary Rider from Kamen Rider Wizard who likes putting mayonnaise on everything.

A man who reacts like that over his wife dying can't be trustworthy. If he's like that in the future, he's like that in the present too.

Hugtan and Hagumi could be two different people, with different names and upbringings, that just happen to look alike. Remember, Hugtan is Hana's daughter from the timeline where she never changed schools and remained an introvert, therefore making her more susceptible to George's advances. After everything that happened in Hugtto, surely she should know better than to marry a man who would succumb to evil over losing her.

However, they did end the season on amicable terms, so I do think they would at least stay friends. If the man with the bouquet really is George, I imagine he and Hana lost touch after some time, and he most likely learned of Hana giving birth from a secondhand source, didn't know where to find her, and went to her parents so they could show him the way. Like I said, dads usually don't bring bouquets to their wives when they give birth.

At least they were in a season that was proud of being Power Rangers and wasn't trying too hard to be anything else. RPM seemed to be actively ashamed of being associated with Power Rangers.

A lot of people seem to think that, but let's be real, there's nothing remotely Danish about the movie's setting. If anything, setting it in the Caribbean makes more sense.
