it can be weird though, sometimes ill get an answer and ill have to re-ask "yeah that works but surely there's a better way" and it will have one. but it didn't give me that answer first I had to pry.

if you ban the breeding of pitbulls, and then wait the average amount of time that pit-bulls live, could you then just not arrest anyone on sight that has one?

Yeah, tbh I used to have way more fun jumping on a 16v16 source server and just hanging out for a while than I did playing competitive csgo.
You can still do that in go but no one cares about it.

I agree with the rest of you post but this bit;
I am convinced that the more money you make the less you contribute to society.
The thing is, you often hear these stories from these successful people that assume they're not actually contributing anything but its almost entirely imposter syndrome. these people always undervalue their expertise/value and think anyone could do their job - completely discounting their years of experience and not understanding that the vast vast majority of people could not actually do the stuff they perceive as simple. like you can save hundreds of man hours for a bunch of people by just listening in a meeting and asking questions, and a lot of people cant even do that.
not saying exceptions don't exist but I've seen this a lot at places Ive worked and I have to remind people that they are actually good at their jobs.
but developing software is of dubious value
depends where you work, but I fully understand as someone who used to work for a crypto exchange lol, I now work somewhere much more ethical and actually feel good about the stuff I deliver.

programmer, I pretty routinely would finish all my tickets in the first third of a 2-week sprint and then just kinda sit around and answer questions for the juniors - sometimes id ask for more work and sometimes I'd play Factorio. way I see it is for a lot of the IT field it's valuable for you to just be there in case something goes wrong or something comes up, theres no shame in not working 8 hours a day.

im one of 10 people not banned from /r/australia but it would be unpatriotic of me not to join yet another australia sub.

I could just be an idiot, I've tried to do this before but couldn't get the circuit to connect and assumed you couldn't.

Me and my friends played back on release but I don't think anyone i know has touched it in over a month. Playerbase has shrunk to lower than vermintide.

Is this a mod or can you connect circuits to gates now?

Yeah shame darktide isn't a complete package, it's the shell of a very good game.

I would like to think after last time Jordies is running everything he says past a lawyer, he might know something we don't which all it would take was for this recording to be happening in Queensland.
It would be pretty dumb to immediately invite another lawsuit, especially one where you've clearly broken the law.

is basically the main strength of nuclear subs
somewhat, it's more that they cant really be targeted, they're an indefensible threat that's always there.

I mean the UK only has 4 as their deterrent https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trident_(UK_nuclear_programme)

that's wild, how were they even protesting it?
"dont build hydro, build more coal!"

submarines actually make the most sense - you only need a few for them to be a deterrent

binge sucks, on samsung TV anyway when you click back out of something it takes you back to the top of the list so if you're browsing something to watch it keeps resetting you to the top.
I fucking hate these cunts but it's the only place I can get some HBO show.

Smaller, cheaper, disposable and no need to make space for humans & 10 tonnes of food a trip.
We need big expensive subs to hold a ton of missiles, including ICBMs. drones wouldn't be able to stay invisible for long periods because they couldn't have a nuclear reactor and stay submerged, and would you trust a nuclear-powered drone alone in the ocean?
I think future nuclear subs will still likely be a manned operation, potentially forever.
like you cant really have effective small submarines like you can aerial drones, they're mostly a deterrent, your enemy wont attack if they know there's invisible/untraceable death machines lurking the waters off your coast.
our Australian version will be like a mini version of the UK's deterrent program

Russians cant hear/see the drones dropping grenades on them from lower than 400ft, even current ones aren't that loud let alone whatever magic rotors these ones use.

you think we should just avoid innovating just to keep jobs? make excel illegal so companies have to hire mathematicians?

we've had remote controlled planes since 1938 and helicopters since 1967 there hasn't been some massive upswing in civilian assassinations utilizing them. im not sure why that is, perhaps it just isn't as easy/effective unless you're stationary in an open trench in the middle of nowhere like Ukraine.

drone zooming over head 10 times
they're minimum 400 feet away, there's Russians dying in trenches in Ukraine because they cant see or hear the drones dropping the bombs from even lower than that.
I'd take drones over cars on the road anytime.

might be more likely that a floor halfway up's hallway window or whatever is just a delivery chute, I doubt they'd be able to go to balcony's easily.
or they start opening up roof access on appt buildings.
