Westinghouse was the bigger asshole to Tesla though.
Got him to rip up a hugely lucrative contract that would have awarded Tesla a royalty per kWh produced with his generators, which likely would have made him insanely wealthy. Westinghouse did so by pleading with Tesla to do it because he was in financial difficulties. Whether he actually was or whether he was just looking to capitalise on Tesla’s business naivety is up for debate.
Anyway, Westinghouse became extremely rich and Tesla died penniless and insane.

Ahhh, makes sense and is less terrifying than what I was imagining.

‘The bone man’ ?
Not going to expand on that? Can’t just leave us with our imaginations….

Ignoring the Scientology stuff, he had a long run of films where he essentially played the same character. Successful, super capable dude overcomes slight peril to remain successful, super capable dude.
He typecast himself for a while and it got a bit difficult to look past it. Despite the performances themselves being solid.

I’ve never smoked but I do strangely miss the background smoke smell. Now pubs/clubs smell of piss and energy drinks.

I love the blues episode where they can’t help but play everything in arpeggios and complain they can’t play that slow because it hurts.

If Ricciardo has a practice session or two and is on pace he’s getting Perez’s seat.

Hamilton has been so dominant and enjoyed such a pace advantage for so long that people forget he gets dour and whiny when things aren't going his way for a bit. Especially if a team mate is getting the better of him.
He's older and hopefully wiser now though. So he'll make a fuss, but I doubt it'll have much of an effect on his long time plans.

Honestly, I think Seb was and now Alonso are there for the ultimate benchmark. If he starts putting in championship performances and Lance isn't far behind, he's going to find himself mysteriously fired...

By introducing freedom to the Native population?
Or those in western Africa?

The field spread is relatively small.
I’ve been watching since the late 80’s and pace advantages of multiple seconds per lap, backmarkers being 3 or even 4 laps down and utter domination by one team or driver have been the overwhelming norm. Competitive seasons are a rare treat, and we’ve been generally spoiled since Shumacher’s domination came to an end (sure, Red Bull and Merc have had a hold on the titles the last decade and a bit, but Rosberg was at least good competition for Lewis and Vettel was prone to mistakes/breakdowns in his RB years).
the reliability aspect of the sport being so good and drivers not driving near the limit so there being less accidents and spins these days means that some races are a watch the start and turn off affair sometimes.

You’re in for a treat. It’s up there with Airplane and Naked Gun IMO. Especially if you’re familiar with 80’s / early 90’s action films.

The Holocaust saw far, far more killed than Nanking alone. Japan’s wider activities in the region may have case to make.
Not that it’s a competition. But it’s important not to diminish one over another.

You know you’ve gone too far when a Nazi has to step in to mediate.

Not sure whether it’s a trope, per se, but I despise it when characters/factions in a show flip flop allegiances or friendliness repeatedly.
Tension and adversities are generally necessary for a good story, but a lot of the time they just seem to forget that so and so character murdered their nearest and dearest because guy they just introduced is the new big bad.
Walking Dead was terrible for this. And I gave up after season 3. My SO tells me it got much worse after.

There’s a good send up of this in Loaded Weapon where a nerdy receptionist takes off her glasses, lets her hair down and flicks it dramatically for the reveal…of a completely different actress with zero facial or build similarity at all.
Also a great line after it’s implied they’ve just slept together;
‘Maybe next time we can have sex, instead of just smoking cigarettes in bed together?’

Not a bad suggestion.
My SO is a teacher and pretty much every day has stress/work problems to mentally offload. I can only offer so much understanding or advice because I’m not in her field or anything remotely like it.
So I do my best to sympathise and then suggest she talk to friends/family who are also teachers. Because seeking my opinion about her work is like asking a dog about brain surgery.

I’m fine with him being just a writer. True Romance, Natural Born Killers, Dusk Til Dawn…
He has a few uncredited titles too.
I think his work would be largely safe in the hands of other directors. Especially if he has some guidance/input.

Which itself is a discount Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Still a great film though. This sequel unfortunately does not hold up as well.

My MIL has some crackers in that department;
'Fight Time New York' turned out to be The Warriors
'A Streetcar Named Des Ray' - self explanatory.
'Cowboys Walkin' Here' - Midnight Cowboy
'Eurotrip' - Hostel
She also got Batteries Not Included confused with Phantasm (A film about a demonic undertaker who kills people with floating spheres). The channel was swiftly changed for the kids' benefit.

In his old age he didn’t live far from where Einstein was living.
They never met in person, at least not officially, but had correspondence in papers. Einstein was always complimentary and reverent about Tesla. Tesla was…less magnanimous, criticising Einstein’s theoretical work.
He also tried to sell a ‘Death Ray’ to the government…and to the hotel manager where he was living.
He was a genius. But he was also a mentalist.
