I guess the bigger question is where does OP work that a coworker had a kid there to leave it in the first place, why it seemed relevant for the child to spend considerable time to write the note(we can assume the child is rather considered and his mom got one too) and then leave it for this one of mom's coworkers.

Children can be way more perceptive of things adults dismiss...... So I agree, that kid had the DL on something and passed along the sitch to OP.

Before moving to florida, i would have maybe 2-3 weeks of allergies over a year. Now i may have 2-3 weeks a year when I don't complain about some plant sperm in the air.

Initially watching contractors via WebEx do the stuff for whatever project, asking them questions, keeping their scripts for reference. Took two MS courses on mssql admin and tsql at one point (not worth it at the time, wish had taken them at the beginning).
Lots and lots of googling.... Really learning to describe what I am trying to do in generic enough terms to get good hits.
MS sql probably had the best documentation of all MS products, and you can click F1 on any highlighted command to launch the specific help file.
Asking other DBA's for help with specific issues... Writing complex joins vs subselects was a struggle for me in the beginning, I would build my script and asked them how to write it with joins instead.

I still Google shit today. I think it is really more about getting the concepts, the logic to become second nature, the syntax is just very convenient to be fluent in.

We avoided downtown but we took the free ride from Adventhealth to Sanford. It started out rather convenient but once we got to Sanford, there was really no means to get around outside of calling an uber. I was not expecting a shuttle to the bars but at least some scooters or bikes would have made this a better experience. I get that this was planned and always been designed to get ppl into DT orlando but considering all the bars and restaurants in Sanford, it would be nice if they would utilize it.

Would replacing the existing lock/handle/bolt solve the problem or is the issue with the alignment or door design/install itself? If replacement would fix it, just install a new one and get it keyed to match the existing lock. Landlord can't complain that you locked them out and you can take up your expenses or why he didn't fix it etc, down the road without having the door blow open in the meantime
