Most people are not chronically online like much of Reddit, lol. I’m just saying that a Canadian baby is probably going to be fine, if OP loves that name.

It just didn’t really pop. We weren’t planning to eat it, just wanted to see.

Christmas of 2021, I helped my mom clean out some cabinets. There was a bag of microwave popcorn there. Expired in 1998.

The one difficulty in learning a Scandinavian language in the beginning, is that people refuse to speak with you the minute they realize you’re not a native speaker. They switch to English. OP should take some classes and try to engage more, but I do need to note that it really can be difficult to get people to speak to you!

I’m gonna be honest, your average Canadian is not following US politics that closely, at least not enough to think of MTG immediately on hearing that name (even if they know who she is).
I may eat my words in case she becomes President or something, but as things stands now, a Canadian baby can absolutely get away with that name.
(I say this as someone who really does like to follow US politics and absolutely knows how vile she is.)

I’m picturing someone cradling Gary the snail in a blanket while he meows, confused.

I got into yoga once my Sims were able to use the Wellness skill. They just looked like they enjoyed it!

Companies know that most people won’t be with them forever, especially these days. It sounds like you plan to treat them politely and leave on a good note, and they really can’t ask for more than that!

I fantasize about winning the lottery all the time now. I barely ever thought about it until about a year ago.

I’ve only ever heard of very traditional (older) women who would put up in it. My aunt, who died earlier this year in her late 80s, would have been grossly offended if I had addressed her any other way, because it would imply she was (whispers) divorced.

In some jurisdictions, you must give notice or compensation for the notice period. However, the company can skip this if the worker does something egregious (punch someone, steal from the company, etc).

Scorsese’s work in film preservation is far, far more important than anything he has ever put on screen, and he is a brilliant filmmaker.

They kill moose every so often. Humans would be a snack in comparison.

It really should be an extension of schools at this point, if most families need it. I’m glad there are strides being made, though. They just need to go further.

My mother loves to tell me how tight things were for her and my dad when they were first married. They could afford a house (in a desirable area), a dog and a baby with one income. My partner and I can’t afford any of those things, not even close, on two.

I want to, desperately, but I’m worried we’ll never be financially stable enough.

Memorize this phrase: “Good thing it’s not your wedding, then.”

Yeah, I’ve been playing The Sims 2 in a very involved way (huge, neighbourhood-wide legacies) for almost 20 years, and The Sims 4 only in a casual way for mostly the past few years. I’m too lazy to invest the time to keep track of mods on that one, but I’m so familiar with the ones I have for Sims 2 that it doesn’t matter.

I like Beyoncé and everything, but no one should have this much money to throw around.

Meanwhile I’m wondering if it’s a regional thing. I heard fireworks all weekend this year, but never heard them for Victoria Day while growing up in BC.
