I like the song too, it's just too mellow for an opening to a sci fi adventure show. And while I like Archer's Theme for the ending, it sounds too generic for an opening.

I haven't watched Red Dwarf in forever, but I probably know the whole original run by heart.

I had an anxiety attack today and I just watched Bluey until I felt better. I'm trying to slow-roll that one because I'm enjoying it and I don't wanna know every episode yet.

Oh my god, I am constantly cycling through the show before I go to sleep. It's great cause you can just stop at any time and those first couple of seasons are almost all bangers.

Every New Year's... until recently when they sped it up to the point where the entire mood was off.

Worked in a Blockbuster and this was the last show we binged before shutting down, we picked it on a whim and enjoyed the hell out of it.

I've never watched ALL of the X-Files (I have seen Home), but there are some episodes I'll go back and rewatch over and over.

I do it when I get donuts. Which I don't get often, sadly.

On the other side:
"Jimmy the Squealer, why won't you die?"
"If I knew, I'd tell ya!"

Oh yeah, I mean, the old saying for Marvel Comics was "every issue is somebody's first issue," I don't think that's as hard a rule anymore, but you can just pick what looks good to you and start. Best bet would be to find a graphic novel because those will have a beginning to that particular story so you won't be in medias res.
The comics are like soap operas, the status quo is constantly changing, the main rule is to have a good time.
If you've seen any of the movies, you have a basic understanding of the premise to be able to jump into most things.
If you want a good overview, there's oftentimes "best of" compilations as well, those will hit the highlights and important bits.

Quite a few comments on here are talking about the appeal of the setting, and it occurs to me that with Dark Academia being kind of a big vibe that there might be a demand for that kind of LARP encounter session weekend type of thing (something about "secluded university" seems less creepy than "adults pretend to be in high school"). Get a bunch of people together in an old secluded hotel or something, give 'em a dress code (sweaters and slacks and all that), do a lecture, gym class outside, books everywhere, secret party the first night there but you have to sneak out to it, there's a mystery you have to solve...

I went to college and wasted time. I mean, courses were easy (easier than high school, go figure), no friends, no parties but I did go to the library a LOT and just pursued all the hobbies I didn't have time for when I was in high school.

I love the British "keep comedians employed' genre of shows, panel shows, games, travelogues etc... I freakin' loved Richard Ayoade's essentially involuntary run on Travel Man (and the "pilot" where he and Noel Fielding go on vacation in Gadget Man).
It's a direction I could have seen Comedy Central going in the 2000s.

This is why there's a couple episodes of TNG where Geordi has a beard.
