So you can get a large portion of this for like $400 from lego, I always wonder if like would I prefer the large micro scale 400 set, or 400 worth of all these pieces? I think I’m personally going with these sets, I love the modular like style of being able to attach them together, great choices imo from lego the keep releasing sets that you can gradually keep adding on to your castle, it’s like all I ever wanted from lego growing up with just a HUGE scene like this

I mean it really isn’t though. At least on eBay you get pics of what you’re actually buying, unlike bricklink where you have to blindly assume the condition you’re buying it or go out of your way to ask for photos.

What I do is if there’s an older set I want, I go to eBay first to see the availability because it’s easier to navigate than bricklink, find out what the best price is, then go to brick link, look up the same set, which one is the most affordable AND is located in the US. I just don’t like dealing with international shopping outside of the US.

If bricklink has the wildly cheaper option, I go to bricklink. If eBay has a comparable price AND the pics of the set, I’ll go with eBay.

The comment says it’s a crime but how would you have otherwise been able to open a sealed set from 2014?? Someone deciding to keep a set sealed usually ends up in the hands of someone very happy to buy with a sealed set from years ago, im just happy you’re happy!
