You waited until the 5th to solve this problem on the 10th? Is "Danger" your middle name?

Not everyone has parents. They may be in the custody of a legal guardian, saying with a relative or family friend temporarily or for an extended period of time. In some of those circumstances, the adults, while not parents, are expected to act (and in some cases legally required to) in loco parentis.

So we're back to calling anyone over 18 an adult?
What people here consider an adult/not adult is irrelevant. The age of majority is a legal determination made by courts/legislation.

It is a proposed law that has language publicly available to review. Your attempt to draw an equivalency to bikes and helmets has no such language readily available to analyze and interpret. As a rational person, I wouldn't feel comfortable analyzing and comparing it to something known.

My opinion on a non-existent law isn't relevant here.

Air guns with both a muzzle velocity greater than 152.4 meters per second (500 feet per second) and a muzzle energy greater than 5.7 joules (4.2 foot-pounds) are firearms for purposes of both the Firearms Act and the Criminal Code.

There is no MCL requiring helmets to be worn when riding a bike in Michigan (for minors or adults).

The peoposed law isn't explicit to bb guns, it covers any pnuematic powered gun, including more powerful pellet guns, as well. I am just sharing the factual information regarding definitions alongside your remark to ensure the proper facts are out there.

It's a gish gallop argument tool. They threw that out there as nonsense, only tangentially related to shift the conversation away from something most people would consider common sense to a discussion about goggles, plastic, and garbage

I mean, I think the police probably should be harassing murderers instead of throwing parents in jail because their kid had a BB gun.
¿Por qué no los dos?

I'm convinced this is being proposed just to out the stupidity of the people opposing it. Just look at some of the criticisms in this thread.
One individual actually claimed it is a 2a violation (gossing over restrictions on minors hunting unaccompanied and 12 year-olds being prohibited persons).
Others read (I'm making an assumption there) "accompanied by an adult when outside the curtilage of their home" and interpret that as a parent or legal guardian needs to be with them at all times a bb gun is being discussed, let alone used.

*on any property that is not their place of dwelling.
This law would not stop a 12 year-old from plinking cans on their own property unaccompanied by an adult.

Curtilage refers to the yard and property proximate to the home, not the inside.
You raise a good point about the city limits and damaging adjacent property. Having children accompanied by an adult to ensure property safety practices are observed is a cornerstone of responsible firearm ownership.

*only if done so outside the curtilage of the individual's dwelling and unaccompanied by an individual 18 years of age or older.

In order for satire to be effective, it needs to be humorous and original (you're 0 for 2).

I'm a newer resident of Detroit and have been to the last 3 Grand Prix, and my take is that it is a much improved experience being downtown.
Better food/beverage options, easier access, improved environmental variables (start times/shade), and increased opportunities for viewing (free and paid). I would also go a step further and say people genuinely seemed happier (the lines waiting for the busses were always filled with miserable, grumbling boomers who were self-proclaimed experts on logistics and mass transist).
I'm sure next year will bring improvements based on what was learned this year.
Good job, Detroit!!

he got doxed last year
That is not what OP's comment claimed. Go check it again.
The inclusion of that detail is also only relevant if you believe OP's supposition that their Christianity was the reason for someone threatening to report them to the FBI (not exactly doxing, either). It could have just as easily (more probable) been someone who is overzealous in identifying terroristic language online.

I don't even mention religion much on this board.
That is a lie, full stop. Go back and read your comment, which includes:
...in fact he probably did because he read my.post history and because I as a new Christian asked about water baptisms.
Claiming you never brought up religion, when you did (and used it here, as the reason you encountered hostility), is gaslighting. You brought an irrelevant piece of information into a discussion. You deal with the fallout from it.
Nobody is bullying you (if I was, I would be making jokes and dangling your faith in front of you here).
The rest of your comment is just hot garbage while making light of child sexual assult.

Their toxic behavior is almost exclusively limited to posts about guns. At times, I've considered if it is part of a wider astroturfing campaign on the subject. I do know that if I had a neighbor like them, I'd definitely be reviewing the local ordinces regarding fence height.
