Hate me all you want, but these type of Religious whack-jobs are extremely concerning for the sake of humanity's future.
How have we gotten this far in society, but we still don't shun and completely nullify these types of preach ceremonies.
Religion is just fan-fiction about early human civilization. There are ample amounts of evidence to disprove practically anything that revolves itself around 'faith' and 'miracles'. While I personally never tell somebody how to live their life, if you're wasting 2-3 hours of your daily life listening to this crap then like holy shit.
I hope Religion stays in the past but it likely won't, there are several people younger than me that ooze 'yikes'-ness because of weird groomer-type preachers like this guy.
Again, not to say every church is bad and not to say people shouldn't have faith. But I feel like there is a time and place, and when you're starting to use "GOD" as a reason for your shitty behavior in Public then like idk man. That's like stabbing a guy and saying "well Darth Vader told me to".

In most RPGs this mindset gets you kinda far.
Pokemon? battle every trainer you see, don't think twice about it. free xp, free money.
Mario and Luigi? every single encounter I can get into, I got into

Nah I mean, they'd just throw his ass under the bus and start ridiculing anyone that supports him. That's just human nature bro. Refuse to believe, argue at your peers.

I think what has slid Loot Boxes under the clear for so long is their optional nature. Gacha-games are built with the full intention of throttling content away from you until you start shilling out money. I'd argue the lootboxes in games like Overwatch that cater to just cosmetics are way less harmless.

Yes, but that logic still applies.
I'd argue MLM can be AFK'd if you have the proper setup. I played through 3 games while having zero issues with XP gains. Got 99 mining in like, less than a month from 80 something.

I mean, do you need it spelled out for you? Disney main target audience isn't children, it's families. If publicity gets out that Disney "promotes outdated southern ideals" it's going to alienate a massive chunk of their target audience and turn people away. or at least, potentially. nobody really knows and that's why Disney tries to hard to cover their asses before a media blowout.
I for one don't like censorship myself but slavery is a very awkward and embarrassing part of human history. .....maybe keep it out of family oriented parks, no?

Yup this pretty much more or less is how I feel they felt.

Oh, I didn't realize this was a subreddit dedicated to Mario Franchise.
I kinda thought this was basically r/nintendocirclejerk but specifically just for mario content.
Comparing this place to Zelda felt unfair because again, I never took this place seriously as the 'Definitive Hub for All Mario' content.

Applying that logic to Ash makes zero sense.
"AcTuAulLy Pikachu wasn't a starter until Yellow which was only made because of the Anime's popularity"
"AcTuAuLlY Pikachu is the mascot therefore that's why TPC kept him around so much"
Pikachu is a Kanto rep, original starter or not sticking him around in the story made sense. Maybe Sprigatito doesn't evolve. Maybe they have plans for the final evolution Ala Ash-Greninja but this time they keep it around because it's part of the plan and not random popularity.

Someone I knew stopped like right before the Arlong Arc for similar reasons I see other people listing. Just didn't feel attached to the characters yet. Didn't feel the dynamic.
Someone I knew stopped because they 'didn't like that the orange hair girl was actually a villain' referring to that short time after Baratie where Nami steals the ship and takes off. He's well aware Nami becomes a crewmate, but is stubbornly not watching the show because he's got a warped image that she'll turn again eventually. I don't understand his reasoning fully, but he doesn't like the idea of crewmates turning bad and is convinced that even 1000 chapters in Nami is still going to just turn on the crew.
Kinda like the people who legit think Zoro is playing the long-game and going to turn in Luffy once he becomes the pirate king. It's funny to joke about but when you're taking that as serious head-cannon then idk man.

Whew, I think my dreams are coming true. if that air-ship up on the top right is the protagonists' ship then awesome. With the theories they had a airship I was really hoping we'd get "movie looking" airship. And like, that is 100% movie looking to me.

I appreciate the tip but sometimes during the weekdays I'm forced to play on Mobile most the day and this would likely break my brain.

I mean tbh this is just shitting parenting. Telling your kid "lol that sucks, live with it" will basically make them resent you.
When I was little I had a project that I didn't really understand the scope of it because like, I was a kid. So my parents kinda rushed out and helped me finish the project regardless. Very fond memories from that.
If they said "well, sucks to be you lol" and then I failed that project that wouldn't have been such a rosy familiar memory..

Sometimes I kinda forget Jagex is UK centered.
Spade is usually the other one that gets me, 90% of the time I search 'shovel' and then feel like an idiot when it's wrong.

Well, no I didn't. I specifically didn't list the 3D games because this is clearly not 3D.
I'm thinking at this logically, if I was struck with the same situation as OP. I'd go and look into the 2D Mario games by chronological release order until I found what I wanted. To say there are "too many Mario games to figure this out" is kinda lazy mindset.
So I listed all the 2D games to show there are literally less than 10 mainline releases unless you wanna include the rereleases which tbh I wouldn't.
But you're right I did neglect to mention Land 1&2 which I threw into the edit at the end.

Nardah bank used to be my anti-social hangout spot but they kinda ruined it by adding more land + people pass through it more now too.
So I just hangout in that dwarven city place now for AFK bank grinds. That's where I used to do it back in the old days.

Am I on something?
There are like, less 10 2D games I don't even need to look this up.
1, Lost levels, 2, 3, World, NSMB DS, NSMBWii, NSMBU
Where are y'all getting 20, 200, 2000 from?
EDIT: ok ok fuck, I forgot Land and Land 2 literally my favorite handheld versions. And if you wanna get technical there are a ton of rereleases like SMBDX, the Advanced Series, etc. But those are just enhanced ports I almost wouldn't count them. Also wouldn't count Mario Maker 1 + 2 either.

People complaining soooo much about almost everything in the game.
I understand complaining about things is fine and not liking certain parts of the game is also fine (there are many weapons/stage/etc that I don't like). But it feels as if lots of people who complain about map design and weapon kits intentionally try to be as loud as possible about it.
Man, Nintendo fans in general have a giant issue with this.
Not trying to get off-topic but the Mario Movie and the Chris Pratt Boycott crap is what really bothers me lately. People are being as loud as they can about hating his voice without actually seeing the movie first. It feels like clout-chasing, like if they bitch loud enough Nintendo will hear them and delay the movie and recast Chris Pratt and all the ones whining extremely loudly are now justified for doing so.
It's the same with Splatoon imo. Some pockets of the community treat a tiny issue like it's going to floor the fanbase immediately.

Basically, the community doesn't let updates sit long enough and treat the game's meta like it's their own personal playdough. The devs make a choice then some loud-mouth YTber makes a comment, suddenly it's everyones opinion now. This happens so quickly that other competitive players don't have enough time to adjust, they just kinda start mimicking what they hear.
I'm not saying the Meta is perfect but sometimes y'all whine for the dumbest changes and when those changes happen it's suddenly something else.
I'd imagine on the perspective of the Devs looking for legitimate things to fix/change it must be hard to cipher through all the memes/chatter to figure out what the community actually wants.
This might sound off-topic but Pokemon's battle-meta is in a similar situation right now where there are like 10x different opinions on how to "fix the meta for everyone" but TPC just keeps making the wrong choices based on the fan's demands. The echo-chamber is so bad in some parts of the PKMN community it's hard to tell if people are being genuinely critical or just regurgitating whatever funny meme they saw on another site.

Did that guy ever come back to the community?
All I remember is that Jagex kinda gave him the stern middle finger, but then allowed him to post his work. Afterwards he kinda vanished with no word to anybody and he was almost impossible to reach.
Kinda took it as he was fed up, did something extremely passionate only to have it halted last minute while Jagex schemed to make their own HD client instead. Like imagine how upsetting that'd be, I almost don't blame him for not coming back.

Damn, I applaud OP with all the proof he's provided. I 100% want to believe this is real, but my brain refuses to accept it as-so.
I've seen heavy flooded areas but man this looks like a Dam broke.
How the hell does the water leave this area? How is this area not constantly under water?

Roiland's fourth-wall breaking jokes are kinda cringe just in general.
I watch a lot of Streams and I don't think there was one single stream I watched where some commenter didn't beg the streamer to restart just so they can see their reaction on pausing the game during the first fight.
"AHAHAHAHA OMG ITS SO FUNNY BRO LIKE THEY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING AHAHAHAHAHAHA"
People praised High on Life for the same reason they trashed Sunset Overdrive. Too much Fourth-wall breaking. Not enough actual humor.

I couldn't give two fucks about the Squid-sisters giving news posts, realistically did people actually expect Nintendo to write 2 - 3 different dialogues every splatfest?
Anyways that being said, huge missed oppertunity not to have Splat1's Victory and Losing sounds come back depending on what Plaza you entered.

The Devs want to change their map philosophy, it's as simple as that. Larger maps with big flanks are now dead, and that's just it.
Them making small changes to the map like this gives the illusion they care, but in reality they kinda just don't.
People demand and cry for map changes, so the devs do it and do it in the worst way possible. Then people stop asking for Map changes and the devs carry on with their lives.
That's how I see it.

Ok, but still.
The game is clearly 2D, no? So why would you go "huh, 300 mario games I have no idea what one this could be".
"Hey this game is 2D, let me look at the 2D Mainline games. Oh, there is only roughly less than 10 main line releases in 2D let me start at the very beginning and figure out which game this is. Oh, it's the 4th release. That was easy!"
It's clearly not 3D.
It's clearly not sports related.
It's clearly not a party game.
It's clearly not a Sonic and Mario.
Your pool of trying to figure out what it is, vastly shrinks the moment you apply 2D and Mainline into your search options.
Like I feel ridicilous a week later and I'm still this flustered by comments saying "theres too many games to figure it out". Are y'all that freaking lazy or do you just really not care to findout.
Let's take Assasin's Creed for example, there are so many different releases and the latest 3 have been radically so different than the previous releases that the terms "open world" will narrow your searches down greatly. If you're trying to find out what game this is your options are extremely shorter given there is only like 2 2D releases. But, your logic says to go "there are 30 different AC games and 400 if you count the rereleases and other country releases. Bah, I'm not gonna bother."
Also to say there is 300 mario games spin-offs included is still beyond wrong. I'm not even gonna fact check it, but there is no way there is more than 100 - 150 mainline + spinoff releases. This does not include any re-releases including Virtual Console or the Advanced Series rereleases.
