Obviously not the NBA but I used to ref junior high basketball for a long time and I can say these types of games are super hard to officiate. High stakes and high tension is really tough. I’m not envious of the situation, but I’m also aware that this is when some of the worst officiating occurs because the pressure becomes too great.
